Roliberto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Phoenix

Me and my wife have bowling league on Friday's. This place is in the same strip mall and decided to come here for dinner prior to league starting. My wife got the three tacos plate and i got the chicken taco and burrito plate. We are from the Bay Area and although the burritos here in AZ are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from burritos in the Bay, I was actually satisfied with mine. I'm used to having lots of meat, cheese, salsa, rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole all in a steamed tortilla wrapped in foil and i have YET to find this anywhere here. Although their burrito is way different, the taste was actually really good and surprising. For my wife's tacos, they were really good as well. She got al pastor tacos which i guess they are called adobada here. Their chips were also good even though we had to pay extra for them. It came with pico de gallo on them when usually it would be in a bowl so it wouldn't make the chips soggy. Their salsa bar was amazing. It's Mexican fast food. It's a 2.5 stars from me. They don't have a drive thru. I ordered 4 tacos for taco Tuesday. I guess the cashier only heard 3 but I was fine to pay 2.50 less. I got a ground beef, beef and chicken. I asked for 2 chicken. She didn't register the 4th taco.

The salsa was good seemed home made. Green and darker red. Could barely taste the orange one. Unfortunately the meat for both beef and ground beef was either flavorless or had a slight off / burnt taste to it. The chicken was fine, the best of the 3.

The shells were fried. I don't know why anyone does this but ok fine not bad. I could have ordered mini tacos which are the street version and probably would if I went again but those aren't the taco Tuesday ones I guess(wack)

The dining room is a bit small/funky shape and dated, like mexico circa 1995 and hasn't been updated. Very authentic though, if only it was cleaner and less dingy.

I guess if you like grungy rich fatty gross fast food it could be a 5 star for you.

I used to love to come here at all hours of the day but since they've expanded and taken all the good help from this restaurant to the others it's just not the same anymore . This morning there was 2 tables of people already seated when I got there and 1 of the tables got up and returned their food for being cold . I was standing behind a lady that had a large order and as the cashier was taking her order she rudly left her standing there to take someone elses order,the lady left. The phone rings off the hook and they are to busy to answer but not to busy to answer their personal phone ( I wasn't impressed ) .
