Best Greek in town. Quant, no-frills authentic place with just awesome food. I have been frequenting this place for years and have never been disappointed. Ordered the 2 entree, 2 side combo plate with the gyro meet, chicken kabob, hummus, and baba ghanousch. They are all top quality. The gyro meet is the best of the bunch. Packed with flavor, juicy, and just delicious. The chicken kabob comes in large chunks of perfectly seasoned, moist chicken. The hummus is freshly made, with a pleasant and vibrant taste. The hummus does not have that card board, bland taste like so many other places in town. The baba ghanousch is fabulous. A robust flavor, with a hint of both sweetness and spice. The hummus and baba ghanousch go well on top of either the chicken or gyro meet. The lemon rice soup is great too. Nothing fancy, not too salty, but a real treat. The pita is homemade as well. The meal could feed at least three people because the portion sizes are generous. If you have been searching for an authentic, good Greek restaurant, this is it. The prices are reasonably, if not cheap.

Love this restaurant!!! In addition to their delicious menu, we also love the FREEDOMS you can enjoy from the moment you walk into the door like BREATHING. They don't shame people without masks. They allow their customers to chose. Would you feel any better if you were in a pool with a peeing section? No? Then mask mandates upon entry where you take it off two steps later is pointless anyway. A visit to this store is a vote for freedom by supporting a local family owned business who put it on the line so you can exercise your rights freely. I'm so thankful they've stuck it out through this devastating year, for small businesses like theirs especially. Let's keep them in business! Added bonus - they're next a CRUMBL who also make everything yummmazing from scratch. Can't beat this delicious duo! It's more than just tasting the difference... you can feel it here, where EVERYONE is welcome and their passion and love goes into every delicious morsel.

Came for dinner at a local friend’s recommendation!! So glad I did — the decor is authentic and warm—check out the ceiling tiles! The staff are superb, prompt, respectful and hospitable—they all behaved like owners!! I watched as they juggled indoor dining and serving the many take out customers. I have to say — I loved seeing the smiling faces of the staff!! And the aroma while I waited was amazing!! It took me back to my trip to Jerusalem a year ago! I ordered the Lamb shawarma pita!! The lamb was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by the picketed veggies! I had never eaten picketed veggies—it’s delicious. It was so good, I forgot to take a picture. I also got the tiramisu desert — it was perfect. Flaky pastry, cool rich filling and decadent chocolate. Looking forward to my next trip into Scottsdale to enjoy the food here again!

EDIT** Ok here to give an update. After reading the response to my review, I contacted the restaurant as requested. I told the manager on duty why I was calling and was told to leave my number and the owner would contact me. I was called back in about ten minutes. The owner profusely apologized for what happened and was genuinely concerned about the issue. He informed me that he had spent the week re-training the kitchen to make the lamb shank. He said it was a favorite dish and wanted to make sure it was being done correctly.

Now to hear that a restaurant owner heard about a problem from reading his reviews daily is unusual. Hearing about an owner who immediately addresses the issue and re trains, his staff on quality control and preparing a dish for a week is a standard of excellence that all restaurants can learn from. George invited me back to the restaurant to give the Lamb Shank another try. He also offered a refund and gift certificate. I opted for the gift certificate. So today, I went back with my daughter, and we both ordered the Lamb Shank. I have to say I was a little worried about giving it another try and was tempted to have something else. BOY, am I glad we gave the Lamb Shank another try! When it arrived at the table, the aroma of the dish captured your attention. The scent wafting from the dish was a blend of spices and fresh ingredients. The meat was tender, juicy, not greasy, juicy, and all the meat came off the bone effortlessly. It was seasoned perfectly and paired well with the rice and hummus I chose for sides. This Lamb Shank was the epitome of what a signature dish should be. And the staff make it dinner to remember. There is a real shortage of quality Mediterranean restaurants in the valley. Saba's Mediterranean Kitchen, in my eyes, has become the gold standard. Kudos to the owner and staff. You have earned a loyal customer. Lamb shank was abysmal. Totally missed the mark. Lamb Shank looked and tasted very old. Meat was not good tasted off and was old. Like it was cooked 5 days ago and reheated. menu says fall off the bone tender ...ha.. it was stiff and hard...Really terrible. Now I have eaten hear three other times and everything was fresh and delicious. Great staff fresh food and great taste, so I thought the lamb shank would be a real treat . BOY was I wrong . TERRIBLE and to top it off it was a three dollar upcharge. Never ever again you have been warned. Could not even eat it. My dog smelled it and did not eat it. We laughed about it but the joke is on me ... out money for garbage. Oh and no silverware or...

Sabas Mediterranean Kitchen is our go-to spot for delicious, full-flavored Mediterranean food. From the moment we walk in, we're always struck by the inviting atmosphere and the friendly staff. But it's the quality of the food that really sets Sabas Mediterranean Grill apart.

One of the things we love most about Sabas Mediterranean Kitchen is the lemon shrimp pita. The shrimp are always perfectly cooked, with a moist, tender texture and a bright, citrusy flavor. The pita is soft and fluffy, and the toppings - like lettuce, tomato, and onion - are always fresh and add a nice touch. It's a dish we always come back to, and we've never been disappointed.

Another standout dish at Sabas Mediterranean Kitchen is the chicken Greek pita. The chicken is always moist and flavorful, and the toppings - like feta cheese, olives, and tzatziki sauce - are always fresh and add a nice touch. The pita is soft and fluffy, and it holds up well to the juicy chicken and toppings. It's a dish we always enjoy, and we've never been disappointed.

But it's not just the pita sandwiches that are impressive at Sabas Mediterranean Kitchen. The menu is full of a wide variety of dishes, from appetizers and soups to entrees...
