After leaving a concert, my cousin and I were craving tacos, and this place absolutely delivered. The meat was cooked perfectly, with great marination and seasoning. These mini tacos were served with two tortillas, just like traditional street tacos, and the flavor was spot on. We also tried their agua fresca, which was refreshing and just the right level of sweetness—definitely my preference!

They offered a variety of salsas, all of which were spicy and delicious. I honestly wish I could take the bottles home with me. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to see they had homemade sweet bread, which would be perfect for a morning coffee or a late-night sweet craving. They also offer Mexican jello and arroz con leche, which I’d be curious to try next time.

While I only tried the tacos, they have other menu items that I’d love to explore on my next visit. The customer service was great, and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. There were plenty of tables, which made for a comfortable experience. One thing to note: if you use the restroom, be careful, as the door lock doesn’t seem to work properly—I had to keep an eye out for my cousin to make sure no one walked in on her!

For my tacos, I had Pastor, Asada, and Tripa, while my cousin went with Pastor and Asada. Each taco was full of flavor and well-seasoned, making this a spot I’d definitely return to when...

Tacos Huicho – The One Where Tacos Were Cheaper Than Therapy

Getting over Beau has been… well, let’s just say it’s a journey. One that includes late-night spirals, dramatic playlist switches, and a highly inappropriate number of tacos. Thankfully, I live in downtown Phoenix where heartbreak is common and tacos are plentiful and Tacos Huicho might just be the best emotional support taco spot in town.

The staff? Friendly and welcoming, like the kind of people who would never ghost you after you said “I love you.” The food? Flavorful enough to make you forget the texts you didn’t get back. The atmosphere? Casual, comforting, and perfect for when you’re wearing sunglasses inside not because it’s bright but because you cried all the way there.

Their tacos are bold, juicy, and absolutely delicious, especially the al pastor. And sure, tacos fall apart sometimes, but we still love them. Just like Beau. Except… no. Not like Beau. These tacos are consistent.

10/10 would recommend. Whether you’re in the mood for healing or just extra guac, Tacos Huicho delivers. And if you bring a friend, maybe you can finally stop talking about your ex mid-bite. (But...

I’ve been going for many years and the food has always been amazing. They have three locations. This one is the original gangster location meaning it was built before the other others. It is also in a poor part of the town though it’s gotten better for example when I first started coming here, I would see a lot of stray animals walk on the same street as well as a lot of poverty though over overtime it’s gotten a lot better. The staff has always been amazing very friendly and tolerate my beginner Spanish. I love the energy because they play awesome music and have people mind their business enjoying their time with their families. The food is incredible for how many different types of meat they offer when I used to eat chorizo(longaniza) that was my favorite taco to get, though they’re all amazing and trust me I would know I ate a lot of Carne Asada, chicken(pollo), al Pastor tacos, you name it. The drinks slap! I love the horchata!! Their ice cream is amazing and they make a lot of home made flans and other...

I visited Phoenix for the weekend and had a hankering for some tasty Mexican food and somehow managed to find this place. I went with the #1 combo with three tacos (pollo, carne asada, and al pastor) and a side of rice and beans. The food came out on a tray with the three awesome salsa options for you to put on your tacos, which were also delicious. There were a bunch of baked good and cold treats in the display cases that were really calling my name, so I went back up and asked the super nice guy at the counter what his favorite sweet option was and he offered fresas con crema. This version had shredded coconut and peanut pieces mixed throughout and topped with whipped cream. I loved it and going here was my favorite food experience I had on this trip. Thanks, y’all <3
