This is a long one so I apologize but there was a lot that happened. The place is beautiful! The staff while nice very uncoordinated. I booked my wedding with Graciella. She was very nice and responded quickly through messenger with all questions leading up to event.
When I called to schedule my rehearsal I spoke with completely new person who said they typically handle the details. Fine ok. But then when my fiance and I get there for our rehearsal as scheduled with our bridal party Graciella was only one there and was leaving and we were left alone to handle rehearsal with no one there to go over details with. We were told to let Javier know when we were done at the restaurant so they can lock up...when we went there the staff said he wasn't there...then messaged Graciella on FB messenger who I guess text him then he walks out of restaurant. Ok then.
We were also told by Graciella that we can drop off stuff needed the day before which was perfect since we were having full bar and decorations etc and live kinda far away and didn't want the hassle of unloading day of. Then when I call to confirm good time a couple days before was told by Amber or the other one I don't remember name that they prefer day of because they have tours and couldn't guarantee our stuff won't be tampered with. Then last minute about 3pm the day before they say well you can bring some stuff and we will put aside...doesn't make me feel that confident and because it was so last minute and we had dinner planned for day before and wouldn't have time we couldn't bring anything ahead of time. This means I had to pack up everything between 3 separate cars to be dropped off at different times the day of wedding while I'm stressing day of while getting hair and makeup done elsewhere. This lead to discoordination getting decor set up. They started putting up the chairs at 1230 so my bridesmaids that were there already can't decorate aisle yet.. I get to venue by 1 after hair and makeup and can't find some of my decor for outside until it's too late and guests were arriving early.
Never got to speak to bartender ahead of time to discuss the stuff brought. So everyone was being served with our backup cups ( in case we ran out) rather than our nice ones. I seriously doubt the bartender was licensed because he didn't know what grenadine was or obviously a Shirley Temple because when my PREGNANT sister asked for one he began to pour Vodka. Several times through out the night I asked for pineapple vodka and got cranberry vodka. They didn't keep the kegs cold by restocking the ice (we supplied the taps and bucket) because it was getting warm halfway through reception.
The food we chose through them was chicken fajitas. My plate had 5 total pieces of chicken and the rest was peppers and onions.
The worst was THEY STILL HELD TOURS DURING MY EVENT!!! After the ceremony as we were outside getting pictures done a couple walked out of the office with brochures. My sister noticed people (no one from wedding or staff) walking around by bridal suite upstairs and went and closed the door after making sure nothing appeared to be missing. They claimed they stopped touring by 3 WHICH ISNT TRUE but still feel that's wrong when you have people who paid for the venue getting ready and trying to decorate.
Still missing some of my decor from after wedding as well.
While the place is beautiful it is not...
Read moreI went to a friend's wedding this past weekend and let me start off by saying that the venue is beautiful I won't take away, the ceremony outside looks amazing at night.
BUT the day of the rehearsal the event coordinator was almost 30 minutes late and then he had an event that same night at 7:00 p.m. so they wanted everyone out by then. Only got to rehearse one time and didn't let them rehearse another time.
The day of the wedding there was no event coordinator the ceremony started almost 15 minutes late, the bridal group just started without no event coordinator. Inside the reception everything was just horrible. The DJ had no idea what to say, he was talking so fast and everything happening so fast. The music kept cutting off so when it came for the daughter father dance the music cut off in the middle of the song and they didn't even redo the dance he just went on to the mother son dance. The servers had no idea when to start serving food until the maid of honor went and told them to start serving the food. The servers were very attentive but they were just lost. At this point the bridal Court was directing everything from the servers to the bartender to the DJ and what to say. The music kept cutting off and then they said they were going to have somebody come in but they weren't going to get there till 8:30(someone to coordinate the event). Something that was very unprofessional was the bartender drinking on the job. Another thing I saw was cockroaches near the dance floor. This couple definitely deserves an apology from this establishment for ruining their day!
Make sure you read the contract and make sure you ask them if there will be some ...
Read moreMy son had his wedding there this weekend. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. There is flexibility in adding your own decor, and their food and set up staff are amazing. I would have to say that the most disappointing aspect of this place is their DJ. We had a specific Playlist, and special songs we wanted played, and he basically played his own music all night. When your paying top dollar for a once in a lifetime event like your wedding, you get exactly what you want. I've been an event coordinator for 30 years, and I was shocked to see the public entering the venue for viewing right up to a couple of hours of our event. We paid for a specific head count for dinner, but due to the unexpected icey weather, many guests weren't able to travel from Texas to Arizona. There was an abundant amount of food, yet many guests complained about being limited to certain entrees. Many could have eaten twice, considering that so many family members we unable to attend due to the winter storm. We did not receive the remaining portions of food, these should usually be packed and sent home with the customer. I've worked for caterers, Marriott, and wedding venues in the past, and this was standard practice. The customer has paid...
