Taqueria El Vaporcito — Restaurant in Phoenix

This restaurant lost frequent customers today when the waiter charged us double for an order of 41$ She had charged us the 1st time for a combo when we had told her no, supposedly refunded us, but the system glitched out, and she perused to charge us again w no combo this time. The manager and the waiter had confirmed we would get a refund from the previous order with a combo, but haven’t received a refund through our bank statements for over 10 days now, and this is not a bank issue. We had called to let them know, they made up multiple excuses that the waiter was not at work, that they would call, and still hasn’t been fixed or received a call. The waiter that had charged us incorrectly was petite, pale with blond hair, and has an attitude. This is not the 1st we have had a bad experience with this server. The other time was when we were trying to get take out and it’s, “1st come 1st serve”, but she had placed us on hold since a customer walked in when we called 1st. The hold took a while so I tried verifying if she was still on the other line, told her I wanted to talk to a manager, and hung up. We like to call in our order sometimes since we are on the clock. So guys, I found a new spot that is open late! No more Dennys or IHOP for me. This place has a variety of food options. I ordered the fajita and shrimp fajitas with the chorizo fundido, some green cebollitas, and some hand-made tortillas de maiz. It was absolutely delicious. This place has a different section that turns into a baile, never been to that side. The food side is good, and they have Agua de cebada, which is delightful. I never tried it and I like it a lot. Prices are not on the menu, but I think it's a tad high, but it's worth it. I also tried the gorditas the second time we went and they were good! The food was not that good the menudo my wife ordered taste like it was caned menudo , and I ordered a beef chimichanga , first of all for it being deep fried the meat was warm not hot and the rice and beans also cold . I was very disappointed , also no prices on the menu what the hell , are they going to charge what ever the owner want for that day .
