The Garden Coffee — Restaurant in Phoenix

This spot has a lot of potential. The staff were super friendly and even brought us some free pastries to try, which was a nice surprise.

Service was a bit slow, as it took about 15 minutes to get three coffees, and it wasn’t very busy. The drinks looked good, and I liked that they used real fruit in their fruity options, but they were all pretty weak. The espresso and matcha both needed more punch; everything tasted a little watered down.

We originally planned to have breakfast here, but one person in our group is gluten free and one is vegan, and there weren’t really any options for wither of them. We ended up going somewhere else to eat because of that. It’d be great to see some vegan and gluten free choices added to the menu.

The Garden Coffee is super cute and drinks are really good, however the customer service was honestly some of the worst I’ve seen. The cashier standing at the front, didn’t greet me when I came in (I was the only customer there) she was on her phone even as I got to the counter and I greeted her first. Then I proceeded to hand her a coupon I had for a free pasty with a purchase. There was clearly a language barrier, she didn’t seem to understand the POS system, what the coupon ment, or even what I was asking her. Then after she messed up the payment of my order, it was later corrected by a different employee, who then informed me that the pastry that I had chosen for my complementary one, was not a part of that sale and that I actually only got a much smaller and overcooked croissant. I am so glad this place came up on my google search!! I am always looking for cute atmospheric café's to frequent and The Garden did not disappoint! Carolina was so friendly & helpful answering my 20 questions and the food was amazing, compliments to the crafter 🤌🏽 My beverage sounded unique and I was rewarded with such a cool and yummy flavor mix (Butterfly Pea & Coco water w/Matcha foam topper)

I hope to see this place thrive, highly reccomend, will be back with friends to try more amazing things and who knows might be neat to see community product shares and special events in this...
