THE MEXICAN CORRAL — Restaurant in Phoenix

Took my daughter and I, since we saw it on Instagram. Looked like any other home in the wall, so I figured it must be good. Ordered the Carnitas 1 lb mix, 2 tacos al pastor, and 3 quesobirria special with consumé and Mexican Coke.

Food: I'll say food was decent. I'm originally from L.A. so we're used to eating quality Mexican food. This place I'll rank under Northgate quality. That's like a Food City type market. Birria consumé was awesome though. Tacos al pastor were small and quality and flavor were missing for the price!

Service: waitress had an attitude! Staff in general had an attitude. Did not bring me my coke even when I asked for it 3 times. Once done I asked for the bill and a Styrofoam plate to take the leftovers..... brought the check out likety split, paid, and still no Styrofoam to take my leftovers so I got up and asked if I could get one to one of the owners. She gave me the smallest one, I asked can I get the big one and she said your only taking a little bit home! That meant that they purposely didn't want to give me one. I told her I have more stuff to take and she reluctantly handed me the plate?!?!

Over all experience: I DEFINITELY WON'T BE COMING BACK! Food is decent but not worth the $50 freaking dollars I spent for 2 people? But Service..... that was horrendous. I had the bubble guts all day as well, too greasy! You can get the same route of food at food city and...

Apparently there are multiple locations. I was handed a business card and called the number on the card. The woman I spoke to advised me that the both stores were open. That was a lie of course because I attempted to enter the first store but it was closed.

I then called the woman on the business card and she advised me that the store on Bethany Home was open. I thanked her for clarifying. She clearly confirmed that the store was open. So, after having spent one trip already, I arrive at the second store only to find out that it is closed!

Unbelievable really, not only was the store closed but the employees inside were waiving and directly looking at me grinning. I called the phone number back to talk to management but they didn’t answer after multiple attempts... It was seriously unprofessional and a very unpleasant first encounter.

Unfortunately, this was the first time coming to both of these places and after all the effort and unruly employees it, saddens me to say that I was never even able to taste their food. I will never be coming to any of these establishments in my life. I asked my neighbor about this place and she told me to stay away because they have found some rather unpleasant “creatures” in...

Well for me this was a major let down, I came to try all the food advertised on a YouTube channel because the guy totally hyped it up but was let down when we got here because 1. None of those foods existed on their menu. Waitress said it was Just for the video. The quesabirria tacos had 2 tortillas but lacked birria and flavor and way too much cheese the birria flavor got lost. Very limited space so big groups are not going fit here. They so have a table outside so if you are handicapped this would be a fair option...if you don't mind the heat. Yes service was quick and friendly but that's about it for me. I came from L.A to try all the foods advertised because it was new and different to me. But it lacked flavor for me so it is not something I'm trying to go back twice. Price's are okay but again nothing was so delicious it made want to go back for more. My review is as honest as I can be and in no way means to...
