From the moment I entered this little restaurant I felt at home in a big way. The food and the smells were enticingly amazing and fresh. I long to enjoy authentic Mexican Cuisine here in the city of Phoenix but it is difficult to ever find these rare gems. I absolutely enjoyed every bite from start to finish. This is definitely a place worth checking out, I had the chicken burrito number two and it was exquisite. It may lack in portion but it packs a punch in flavor and freshness. The two gentlemen serving were awesome and very professional. I will definitely bring friends on my next visit. Lookout Phoenix this place might be grabbing an award if they keep it up #2019 Phoenix

1st Time coming, my Buddy & I had the Mixiote (goat) Plate. Came with a watery scoop of Beans, Rice and tortilla. Visually the Mixiote came wrapped in a wax Paper look Mysterious.. The Taste of the Mixiote was Great!, very Tender, delicious sauce with some Cactus pieces, the Tortilla was toasted and made a nice vessel for the Mixiote. The Rice & watery scoop of Beans However, were Very Bland, and I washed it down with some refreshing Horchata. Price $18 Overall.. Im Glad I tasted the Mixiote, the Small Portion and the Bland rice & watery beans Definitely not work it.. ☆☆☆☆. For the Taste of the Mixiote & Horchata.. Not worth the $18 for the Portion size.

This is our go-to Mexican restaurant. I stumbled upon it on Yelp and we have never looked back. It is impeccably clean, the service is great, and the food is FANTASTIC. I've yet to order something I haven't liked. Things we've tried and loved: Chicken Enchiladas with red sauce, Street tacos (chicken & asada are pictured), nachos, burritos, and the CHURROS. Sweet baby Jesus those Churros are amazing! Filled with a creamy "custardy" like center. So so good. The presentation of the food is also beautiful, you can tell they truly care and have earned every single one of the 5 stars I awarded. ♡♡ Will be back again and again!

This place is LEGIT! Every single bite was a party in my mouth!! ...and it was just Mexican food. No joke! These guys aren't your typical cooks, they cook like Chefs and were so attentive with us.

I'm in the area a lot but would've never stopped by this restaurant based on it's location. Thanks to fellow Yelpers, my family and I were able to enjoy - hands down - the BEST TACOS IN PHOENIX. We were craving some authentic Mexican food; and that it was.

I expected a small Menu but it actually was quite difficult to make up our minds on one single entrée. I wanted to try each of the tacos, so I had an order of 5 tacos... (shredded beef) Barbacoa, (beef) Asada, (pork) al Pastor, Chipotle Chicken, and Green Chilli Beef. WOWZA! Every single bite was full of flavor! They were topped with onion, cilantro, and purple cabbage; served with a side of limes. I didn't have to add anything. As I ate my food, I could tell that someone had specialized in sauces. None of the tacos tasted alike, almost as if a different cook had prepared each one. My favorite was the Asada tacos but holy moly, I was the most surprised by the Green Chilli Beef tacos. If you enjoy a mix of flavor, spice and a good kick of spicy all in one mouthwatering bite, try their Green Chilli Beef tacos. The tortillas were good too; toasted and crispy edges.

All their food was served eloquently; including their dessert! We ordered three churros, served warm and stuffed cream, coated with sugar, and drizzled with chocolate. Unfortunately, they were soooo good that there was no time for a photo op - sorry!!

As for drinks, we ordered their "aguas" (naturally flavored juices) and their Jamaica was strong! Very rich in flavor, probably the most potent flavor (infusion of dried red hibiscus) I've ever tried, not even homemade. We also ordered their Horchata, and that was flavorful too.

We had kids with us....ages 3-14. We weren't sure how they were going to handle any of the typical spices in Mexican food. They were kind enough to have us taste the Chipotle chicken but also offered to prep their tacos with their "plain chicken." It wasn't plain at all, the "plain chicken" had a lot of flavor and they didn't leave anything behind.

By the way, they also have Asian bowls! Orange chicken, Teriyaki chicken, and one that they've named Kunfu Dragon bowl. After speaking to one of the cooks and asking them about their strong homemade flavors, he told us that they had over 20 yrs experience working with Japanese food and the reason they took pride in seasoning their food so well and serving it eloquently. We will be trying that on our next visit.

Inside the restaurant, everything is colorful and inviting. Spacious, clean and SPOTLESS! The only downside to this location is that their restroom is in the back of the building at this time. For our safety, the back gate is locked but they will unlock it for you to come inside and use it. Sounds like they're remodeling that part of the restaurant.

It is hidden in a stand-alone but odd location. It sits in the middle of three independent car shops and a housing community. It is directly across from Baskin Robins, (the Family Dollar shopping center) so that will help if you're looking for it. It is the smallest but most colorful building on the block; southwest of 75th Ave & Indian School Rd. They've only been there for 5 or 6 months and based on their traffic when we were there, people don't know of this hidden gem! You won't regret it and you WILL BE BACK!

Their most recent sanitary inspection is posted, taking place on 08/17/2016; with an "A" rating.

They have a...

I LOVE this hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant !!!

I'd want to compare it filibertos but that would be a HUGE insult!!

*The food is WAY better and SO MUCH MORE FRESH!! *

I absolutely would recommend trying the street tacos (delicious w/lime) or the rolled tacos are great!! My new fave actually.. please put more cilantro guacamole mix on top!! I can't get enough of it!!! The burrito bowls are fantastic !!! Choice of chip or tortilla ( I always choose tortilla they are humongous and always hot and fresh) I do miss when I was able to get the shrimp burrito bowl!! :((

You can tell this is a small family that works hard.. they put their time money and heart into this restaurant and it shows!! When covid first came about I was nervous this might be a family restaurant that goes down but they held in so strong and worked so hard!!! GO TEAM!!!

The young man ALWAYS working ALDO is so nice and pleasant I tip him every time I can!!

Dining in at this restaurant is especially a treat!! The presentation is beautiful on the plates and I love ordering the churro they make it look sophisticated and beautiful for little money.. this is exactly a good point why I would not compare this restaurant to a filibertos or any other Mexican restaurant...

This group of people work with their heart and their soul and I feel WANT others to enjoy their good food!! Thank you so much for everything you guys do and please keep serving the delicious food you do!! Even when my family has little money we're able to come in here for a feasible price and enjoy a night out together with beautiful plates presenting our food in...

We didn't have enough conversation to know if it was indeed the owner who took care of us, but our meal and service indicated a genuine desire for us to be thoroughly satisfied. And we were! Desperate for a break, meal and margarita we turned to a local restaurant search engine for a recommendation. Not being familiar with the area, and being too tired to venture far, we acquiesced the cocktail. The review for the location was 1 $ & 4.5*, so we thought "Let's try!". I feel as though we should send a thank you note to every previous reviewer that led us to La Poblanita. It would be easy to pass by, an unassuming exterior in a repurposed building with an ACTIVE drive thru! Do not make this mistake! Our counter service was polite, and informative. Our meals came out quickly on crisp white dishes, well presented. The taste was complex, indicating genuine recipes, rather than the fast prep the outside lane around the building had us anticipating. The flavors were fresh and ingredients of high quality. The gentleman who took our order at the counter even came out to see how we were doing. Were we to reside in this area, I dare say, we too would be bringing the deliciousness from La Poblanita home, as that drive thru really makes it too convenient adding margaritas on our own patio. Were we to reside in the Phoenix area, this would be worth the drive past many other Cantinas to enjoy...
