I had the pleasure of dining at The Phoenician Tavern on Sunday, March 16, after church services with a friend and colleague. From the moment I entered the resort, I was captivated by the beautifully maintained grounds, the scenic drive past the golf course, and the inviting atmosphere of the tavern itself. The food was outstanding—absolutely 5-star worthy! The tavern burger was hands down the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The service was just as impressive, with a special shout-out to Daniel for his exceptional hospitality. The ambiance was lively and enjoyable, especially with the indoor-outdoor bar patio offering stunning views of the golf course. While the atmosphere was great, I’m giving it 4 stars simply because I expected a bit more of a refined resort feel. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by the unique offerings, including the St. Patrick’s Day menu, craft beer sampling, dueling pianos every Saturday, and bourbon tastings (reservations required). The Phoenician Tavern is a fantastic place to unwind, whether you’re knocking back a local craft beer, enjoying pub-style fare, or just soaking in the beautiful setting. It’s a hidden gem within a luxury resort that doesn’t feel overly formal—perfect for a laid-back yet elevated experience. I’ll definitely be back! ⭐ Food: 5/5 ⭐ Service: 5/5 (Thank you, Daniel!) ⭐ Atmosphere: 4/5

Tonight I came for 25$ meal deal until September 2nd. I order two cowboy burgers and two margaritas. The deal through September 2nd includes one drink. One burger and one side for 25$ each. When I revveived my check my total was $70.92. I asked the server why it was so much more and she said it can't be combined with happy hour. And I said I didn't order off of happy hour I ordered off of the 25$ meal. She refused to change the total and still charged me $70.92. Although the burger was excellent this is poor service and false advertising. The servers name was Arba. I overheard heard talking to another person and it sounds like she is one of the main servers at the bar. This is not okay!!

During our 5 day stay at The Phoenician Resort, we found ourselves at the Tavern 3 times. You cannot beat the daily happy hour (we loved the fresh margaritas and moscow mules) and large portions of food. We enjoyed the HUGE nachos, cowboy burger, burrata mozzarella salad, and the sliders. The service was always great with a special shout-out to Erin and Alejandro. They were so very kind and accommodating. Lily was also great! We made a reservation for dinner once and the other 2 times, we walked in without a reservation. On the last day (Sunday lunch), we did have a 30 minute wait but enjoyed sitting downstairs on the golf course while we waited. Overall, great food and great service!

We have dined at the Phoenician before and it was absolutely phenomenal but it was our first Christmas Buffet at the Phoenician Tavern! I thought this would be high end, and a Christmas night dinner to remember/ possibly make a tradition. BUT to charge $85 plus the service fee and the 20% tip (because what kind of scrooge wouldn’t tip on Christmas Day) this is NOT worth it.. $300 later and I’ve never been more disappointed in a restaurant that claims to be resort style.. I have also NEVER written a review, specially a negative one like this but hopefully it saves someone else a horrible Christmas night..The $22 drink I had tasted like pure cough syrup, my husband agreed, and it was supposed to be a fruity pineapple raspberry martini (Sonoran Martini). We got our first plate and one of the waiters or hosts followed me back to the table to asked if my husband enjoyed the football then asked if he ignored me a lot during it.. which to me was incredibly rude/crossing a boundary. We had our first round and it took until was almost done with our second plates for anyone to grab the first two empty plates on our table.. yet three wait staff said goodbye to us when we left so I know they we not understaffed at all.. then the kicker was two of the desserts ran out, our reservations were at 7:15 and we left by 8:40. How do you run out of the two out of the four desserts you’re serving and still charging folks full price? Plus it’s not like we showed up astronomically late, we were on time and it’s insane that they ran out early.. why offer a buffet when you can’t actually keep up with the intake of your guests? All together I would never recommend this to anyone, unless you want to throw away your money to the name of the Phoenician. Bad service, over priced and disappointing menu...

My wife and I were huge fans of Relishes when it was in this same location at the beautiful Phoenician Resort. When the hotel decided to change the restaurant concept and rename it The Tavern, we were expecting everything to be improved. We visited for the first time for Lunch on St. Patricks day. Almost everything that could have gone wrong did. The food took over an hour to arrive at our table...and we were to second table to arrive that day. Neither meal we ordered was good enough to encourage us to come back again. We tried to rationalize that they had only been open about a week and so had to be struggling to get their act together. We had decided to just not return. The server came to our table to ask us if everything was to our satisfaction. Sadly, I had to tell her no. We didn't complain or get angry, simply told her that we were very disappointed. I did not tell her that if I were to review The Tavern after that one experience it would have been with one star. Within a couple of minutes a lady appeared at our table to express her apologies that we were unhappy. Her name is Rosa Cano, who I learned is the food and beverage manager (?). Rosa could not have been more concerned or caring and because of the beauty of the restaurant and her genuine concern about our poor experience I gave this review three stars...and we intend to return soon to give The Tavern another try. We sincerely hope this place can successfully get it's act together because its had a wonderful remodel, is relaxing and peaceful to visit, with wonderful views. Thank Rosa, your warm and caring attitude helped immensely and you are a genuine asset to The Phoenician...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Tavern at the Phoenician, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, inviting ambiance that perfectly set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish we sampled was bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef's impeccable talent and attention to detail. The menu offers an impressive variety of options, catering to all tastes and preferences. Whether you're a fan of hearty classics or seeking something more refined and innovative, The Tavern delivers on all fronts. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each bite was a delightful journey for the palate.

Equally impressive was the drink menu, which featured a fantastic array of expertly crafted cocktails, fine wines, and premium spirits. The bartenders are true artisans, creating drinks that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. The signature cocktails are a must-try and provide a perfect complement to the exquisite cuisine.

The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. Their recommendations were spot-on, and their passion for the food and drink was evident in every interaction.

In summary, The Tavern at the Phoenician is a culinary gem. With its delectable dishes, outstanding drink selection, and impeccable service, it stands out as a premier dining destination. I can't wait for...
