If you like ROCKS in your food eat here!

On March 30th we ordered 8 dinners for the 9 people in the family - 8 adults and 1 child. 2 orders of Twice Cooked Beef. I had some and had 3 weirdly crunchy bites. Whatever it was was so small I could not find them and just let it go.

My daughter and I were talking to my son while he was eating his Twice Cooked Beef. We heard a screeching noise and then a crack! My son looked horrified and ran to the bathroom. He came back having found a quartz type rock about the size of a pea in the food. He was in pain. The rock ended up breaking off part of a filling he had and bruising both the top and bottom teeth. About 4 weeks out he is still having some sensitivity issues with pressure, hot and cold.

He and my husband went over to Yan's and talked to the owners or manager he gave them Yan's insurance info. The dentist did what he could and will watch the teeth for awhile to make sure their is no lasting damage. The staff and dentist asked; so you at least got some free Chinese food out of all this and we had to say, No!

As of today, I talked to Danny Chin, the manager, and gave him the chance to comp us some food so we could be assured that their are not rocks in all their food. He said no, they would not do that. I feel like they are saying "Hey, rocks happen." "Rocks in food, eh, that is normal." For your troubles we will pay for the dentist that we caused you to have to go to and the pain and suffering well screw you.

At this point I am thinking "Lawyer". If you are a lawyer who would enjoy taking this case. Let me know, we...

Sharing for someone else... I was told to share this on my Facebook page. Yesterday my mom & I went in Yan's to have lunch. While we were eating, a obviously homeless man came in and purchased a large soda, he filled his drink and went to sit down and the owner told him to get out. At the same time this was happening, I just really felt led to ask him if he was hungry, he look so tired, hot & forlorn. I ordered him a lunch and went back to eat mine. They prepared his lunch and proceeded to put it in a to-go box, bag & hold the door open and told him to leave! I came unglued and asked why he couldn't stay to eat. The girl said "he stink" and I told her that I had stood right next to him and smelled nothing. There were 3 other ladies that came in to eat in the meantime and she asked them if they smelled him, they also said no, but she told us that "we lie". I, by that time, didn't notice where the homeless man had gone, I'm sure he was also embarrassed. I asked for lids for our lunches and told them we would not be back and would share with others how they had treated this man. I was always taught that you needed to purchase SOMETHING to be able to sit in a fast food establishment, and this poor man had made the first step when he spent his money for a cold drink. I also told them that it was pretty bad when, in America, we can't be kind to others less fortunate - so please feel free to share this with all your friends. Thank you for letting me rant, I know there are people out there on the roads holding signs, begging and being fraudulent but this poor...

Yan's food is GREAT! I've been going here for a year, and the quality has always been top-notch! BTW-Teresa S. has been slagging Yan's all across social media. She claims (dubiously) that her kid ate a rock that was in her Yan's order. She also claims that Yan's is paying her dentist bill, but is incensed that Yan's will not give her more free food to "prove that there is not rocks" in all their food. This lady is NUTS. My response to her: I think you're getting a good deal. Most businesses could have easily said, "We don't believe you," and refused any payment. To play devil's advocate: I mean, how does a rock get in such a large, expensive order? Maybe someone just wanted free food? After all, their offer of medical care wasn't enough for you-you even went back (4 weeks later, if your timeline is to be believed) and asked for more free food. Why would you want to give your kids even more of this food that supposedly had rocks in it? What kind of parent purposely subjects their child to danger like that? Seems pretty fishy to me. Maybe you just wanted to feed your large family for free that night and again four weeks later. I wouldn't give you anything-I would tell you to prove your...

1st visit and I honestly was pleasantly surprised!. The food was pretty tasty. My only complaints are...... The host didn't have the most welcoming demeanor, and she stated she could add spice to my orange chicken and it was not spicy AT ALL!... I would dine here again though.. *******UPDATE******* SO I VISITED THIS ESTABLISHMENT TODAY AND ORDERED THE KUNG PAO COMBO THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO COME WITH "SPICY" CHICKEN "EGG" FRIED RICE AND A SPRING ROLL.. I got home and as you can see from the picture below all the have me was some brown rice with tons of veggies....... oh and a two bite spring roll.. I called and asked why there was no egg in my supposedly egg fried rice, and her response was....... BC EGGS ARE EXPENSIVE NOW!!... LIKE WHAAAT?!!!..... Then I stated that my Kung Pao chicken was sweet with no hint of spicy and that they gave me tons of veggies and hardly no meat. AND SHE JUST HUNG UP ON ME!!.. I JUST STOOD THERE IN SHOCK LIKE WHAT?!!!.... I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN............ NEEEEVVVVEEEERRRRR

This is 7th Chinese spot I have tried in the Valley and it just doesn't hit like an NYC/CHICAGO Chinese joint. Ordered the General Tso chicken combo Portion was fair for the 12 dollar price, though, if you're used to regular Chinese spots overfilling the tray you're going to be dissapointed. The flavor was good but far different from what I'm used to, this almost seemed like sweet & sour mixed with Sriracha. Very light kick, predominantly sweet, however, not what I'm used to having as "General Tso" chicken. It also came with peppers, onions, and peas where I'm used to getting it with broccoli. The fried rice was disappointing, very bland and stale (almost like it wasn't cooked to completion), no veggies mixed in. The service was very fast and friendly, no complaints there. All in all this place is not worth traveling for but convenient if you're at the hospital across the street

The orange chicken was strange. The chow mein was fine, and the portion was good for the price, but the chicken didn’t make sense. The breading wasn’t burnt, but the chicken itself was dry and stale. It was odd to taste such dry, tough meat when the breading was perfectly fine. I don’t understand why it was like that. To be fair, I’ve noticed a similar issue with other orange chicken-type dishes at different places recently—where the breading stays fine, but the chicken inside ends up dry and tough. It’s odd because, up until recently, I never tasted chicken like this at a Chinese takeout spot. Even the places that weren’t great could still get the orange chicken right. So, is something going on? Are places buying a different kind of chicken now? It’s definitely a noticeable change.
