I was asked by a friend to stop in and pick up some smoked sausage for a BBQ. I had to Google to find the location. To my surprise, I had passed by Nick's many times and never knew it was there. But believe me, after seeing what was offered, and tasting what I bought for the BBQ, I will be back! The young man behind the counter was very friendly and courteous. He answered all the questions that I had. He even gave me a few samples. I can't remember what they were, but they were also delicious! For the prices, you can't beat it. I am now a loyal customer. They are now carrying elk and deer ground. Just got some of the elk. Going to try it out my next day off. I'm telling you, this is the place to go! Stopped in to pick up some sirloin and ribeye. Nick cut them exactly the way I asked, no issues. And the shrimp loaf is the bomb!! 04/24. Still the best Butcher around. The boneless pork chops from here taste fantastic when done on the grill or an air fryer. Fantastic cuts. And the crawfish loaf and hoghead cheese is soooo delicious! I can't reccomend this place enough!

My favorite place in town to grab some good steaks... let me rephrase that: the ONLY place in town to grab a good, fresh hand cut steak that's guaranteed to be juicy and tender when you cook it. He's got house made hoghead cheese that rivals the best of the best that I've had from South Louisiana. House made specialty sausages of all types, boudin, and stuffed and seasoned anything wrapped in bacon. All ready to throw on the grill or oven. House made burger combinations that make great meatloaf or hamburger patties. If you can't find something you love in there, you're probably a vegan. I updated my review to add pictures. One picture included is the loaded potato that he makes.

When you go to Nicks it’s like going back in time. The time of great service and where the customer matters individually. When you go there you get always get great service, great products, and always something unique. This is always my favorite go to meat shop. I got some stuffed chicken breast and put some cheese and minor seasoning, you don’t really needs it, and man it was great

It's difficult to tell when they are open. That aside, upon entering you'll see a large assortment of meats! Nearly everything they make inhouse has that "just right" flavor. I always get some summer sausage and some of those loaded potatoes with cheese to throw into the air fryer. I highly recommend this place as all their staff is very polite and genuinely eager to help me everytime I come in. I don't mind paying a little more to support this business, they have earned it.

Have you ever been in one of those kinds of business you just felt great leaving? Like your purchase not only helped a small business, but you really got something of value for your money. This is one of those businesses and they...
