Myself and my husband went for dinner here. I ordered tacos and he ordered a hamburger. He changed his side of fries to potato salad and I asked could I switch my fries to sweet potato fries because I find them easier on my stomach than regular fries. Our waiter said yes that was no problem. He said we could change to any side. We both ordered drinks too. I asked if possible could I have some ranch dressing on the side for my fries. When our bill came we realised we had been charged extra for switching out our sides, even though the sides we had chosen were the same price as the original sides that came with our meals. They had also added on an extra charge for my ranch dressing. Bear in mind this is the place that adds a 0.50 cent charge for a glass of tap water without telling you. So we ended up paying over $40 dollars for a meal that should have cost no much more than $20. The waiter never informed us of these extra charges or said that changing our sides would cost extra. Or that ranch dressing had a charge on it. It was very embarrassing and extremely annoying when the bill came and we realised all these extra charges that had been added on, and then the waiter expected a tip too after he was unsure about the menu and didn’t really know the specials for the day. All the while we waited nearly 20 minutes for our food. I find it dishonest when places add extra charges and don’t inform the customer - a hike of $20 on a bill is a big deal. I am very disappointed in this place and expected better service, food and treatment. I expect a full refund for my meal and that they will add these extra charges to their menu so customers can see them, and hopefully customers will no longer be left in the dark about their hidden charges. It’s...
Read moreWent to champions last night and ordered the hamburger steak, which is a hamburger steak on French bread for $15. I wanted the large, not the 1/2 that was $8. I was given the half And when I told the girl I ordered the hole, that was $15. She said they just put everything on the half. I opened the sandwich. It had one piece of meat and a ton of onions and gravy. There was not two pieces of meat, which would mean they put everything on it to make it a 1/2. So basically, i was given the $8 sandwich and charged $15 for it. This is very poor business practice, which eventually you will learn from the lack of customers coming in due to situations like this.. Anyone who eats there before you order? You better ask them if they're going to cut your meal in half and charge you for the entire meal. I'll attach a photo of what they consider a 12 inch po boy....
Read moreI was 1st timer, not such a great experience. Service was terribly slow, waitress did her best to cover for slowness of kitchen. We were party of 4- ordered cheese fries, 2- salads, buffalo wrap & Philly cheese steak sandwich. We arrived about 12:05, 12/29/22- ordered right away and then the wait started. Now let’s talk pricing! You guys need to rethink the prices & quantity of what is being served. Yes, I am aware everything is expensive but salad with a $4-6 up charge for chicken which is a chicken strip cut into pieces is ridiculous, buffalo wrap with grilled chicken, legit 4 chucks of chicken-meh, Philly cheese steak was the tastiest thing to hit table once we actually got our food, which was all at various stages. I’m an advocate for supporting local but Champion’s Bistreaux you must do better for your business...
