If you order in-store for delivery, be certain to get a copy of what you ordered and confirm the delivery date. We ordered in-store on Nov 14 for a Wed., Nov 28 delivery in another state. It was for a surprise for our family we would be visiting. We did not receive a printout of our order. But I know for certain that the date to deliver was Wednesday, November 28. I did speak with the shop twice earlier this week about getting the tracking number, discussing the delivery date, and left a phone message prior to speaking to the shop with the delivery date. After not receiving my tracking number yesterday, I called this morning to find out the tracking number, only to find out the cake will deliver a day late. What a disappointment as we have to leave in the morning and will miss sharing this with our Montana family.

My suggestion for improvement at the bakery - Provide customer a printed order information. At the time of the order and require signature. Follow-up with email of order same as any online order. If neither of these steps can be implemented, then all delivery orders need to be made online, no exceptions.

Any of these steps would have avoided the mishap with our order. I was actually in tears when I found out that we wouldn’t have the cake for this evening. It’s been 20+ years since we’ve all been together. There is no getting this moment back.

We’ve always had good service thru Paul’s, but today I’m at a loss. There seemed to be little concern for the error...

Our experience with Paul's Pastry for our wedding cakes was unsatisfactory. Following a week-long period to address our concerns, we have yet to receive a response. While the cakes tasted excellent, the wedding cake's noticeable lean was a concern for our florist and drew attention from our guests, resulting in an unpleasant experience. Furthermore, we felt our wedding did not receive the necessary prioritization during the planning process, as Paul's Pastry frequently took several days or weeks to respond to our inquiries regarding our wedding or invoice payment. I even received a response from Tiffany, their wedding cake specialist, stating 'I saw your email and forgot to respond' when I had to follow up a week later. I was very understanding and patient initially, but as the wedding date approached, I felt that a quicker response time was warranted. I would email and wait a week, then have to call, and sometimes reach Tiffany, while other times someone would have to leave a note saying I called, and it would take days or more to get a response.

Overall, their customer service and professionalism as a wedding vendor were severely lacking, and I want to raise awareness about our experience with Paul's Pastry...

Came here for breakfast for the first time and had the nastiest food.. ordered a bacon croissant and the sausage gravy sandwich. The bacon on the croissant was so hard it couldn't even hardly be chewed my daughter actually had choked on it. The croissant itself had an awful taste to it and was burnt. They still served it to me though and I know for a fact they knew it was burnt..how would you not know... The sausage gravy and biscuit was also very nasty. It had a very funky taste to it like it had been heated multiple times or something. I had went up the the counter 2 times 1 to take the bacon sandwich back and the other time to ask for something else to eat. Waited for like 8 minutes each time (no one was there except me, my daughter, and my mom) while there was a girl walking around behind the counter down from me, but didnt want to help. The staff was definitely not friendly at all and they were unprofessional. The wanted to just stand around and gossip, instead of finding something to do like make better food or make sure your customers have what they want or if they are satisfied. Overall I would have gave them 0 stars, but I had to stick with the 1. Will most likely not be going back and I do not...

Paul’s pastry did such an excellent job bringing my vision to life for my wedding. The cake was absolutely beautiful. It was seriously the best cake I’ve ever put in my mouth. Tiffany was wonderful with coordinating exactly what I requested and even handled me changing my mind on multiple occasions very well! They made the process seamless. My fiancé was unable to make the cake tasting due to work and she allowed me to bring some home for him to try before making my decision which was absolutely wonderful as he was disappointed not being able to make it. We value Paul’s pastry and it’s staff so much after this experience. So many people from the wedding are still talking about how tasty and beautiful the cake was. I cannot rave about it enough and will be sure to recommend it to every bride I know!

My mother in Mississippi called the bakery in Picayune to have a King Cake shipped to us in Virginia. When it arrived, it was from a bakery in New Jersey, La Bon Bake Shoppe. Neither the person taking the order nor Paul's website says anything about outsourcing their baking to another state in another region of the country. We have been loyal Paul's King Cake buyers for years, but will not again. La Bon Bake Shoppe website does not hide the fact they are selling "The Original Paul's Pastry Shop King Cakes," they promote it. I wonder why Paul's hides this fact? Additionally the cake we received was pretty bad compared to years past.

Stopped in at Paul’s on a recent Saturday morning to pick up a King Cake on my way to NOLA as I’ve done many times before. There were plenty of king cakes available, and plenty of available flavors to choose from. As always the cake was fresh and tasty. My only issue was that the checkout process took forever. I waited over 20 minutes just to pay and I was only behind about 3 people. What should have been a 10 minute stop on my trip turned into a 30 minute stop. Will I stop again? Yes. Do I hope this information encourages Paul’s Pastry’s to improve their checkout process? Also, yes.
