Myabis is beyond comparison to this place. Food had no flavoring, it was all bland. I had to put salt and pepper all over my rice to give it any flavor what so ever, even after putting soy sauce and white sauce in it. The soy sauce was tasteless black water and the white sauce was very watery and basically flavorless, which was a disappointment cause everytime I go to get hibachi it's my favorite. The teriyaki that you can get in a cup yourself is gelatinous and cold and has a very odd flavor to it. I'm a big sushi fan everytime I have the chance I eat it but if sushi is what your looking for look else where. For some odd reason my california roll was very warm and is was basically just a serving rice I paid 4 dollars for. There was the tiniest sliver of crab and avocado. I ate one piece out of the 8 they give you and threw it away. Not only because of the bland taste but because it was warm and I've never ate warm sushi. I think gas station sushi would probably be better. I read alot of really great reviews for this place and all of my expectations were seriously not met whatsoever. The one thing that was decently okay were the pork fried dumplings. Best part about it was the fortune cookies. I'm not sure if the first time I visited was an off night or what but I think I'll sick to driving to easley for better more flavorful tasting food. I'd say I'd probably give this place another shot at a different time, but I'm not so sure I would. It was just a very sad experience and I ate McDonalds...

First, yes, I understand I'm not going to get any good sushi out in Pickens, SC. And yes, I realize I won't probably find mediocre sushi out here either. But what I did find, makes Publix sushi appear to be a 5-star cuisine. Not only is this sushi hard, unappetizing, and hot (yes hot!), It is premade and sitting in the back in plastic to-go containers.
To top it off, the only sauces available are individual packets of watered-down sauces you would only find in a cheap nasty Chinese to-go joint. (See picture). On a good note, the restaurant was clean. Probably because they have plenty of time to sit around since nobody came to eat while we were here.
The only authentic Asian thing I could find behind the counter were the 2 guys working here. Everything else is prepackaged, or severely highly processed tasteless food. I don't know how this place is in business.
Oh yeah, and after 3 rolls, 2 drinks, and an order of egg rolls, we dropped 30 bucks. I highly suggest moving to another restaurant or picking a different cuisine. Either that, or go to the gas station to get sushi......it would no doubt be a...
Read moreI thought I'd give this place another try since my last visit over a year ago wasn't so great and it's still the same. I came in at 825pm and they wouldn't allow us to place an order to eat inside because they close at 9pm. Any other restaurant would let you eat and lock the doors while they do their closing work. The guy at the register was just rude. The food was rushed and dry not to mention the fact that the price of their food is over rated for the amount you get. As I said a year ago and this time I will stay true to it. I'll keep my business at hibachi boys in Easley. At least they have friendly service ,allow you to dine in and the food and prices are well worth going out of my way for good...
