ordered the "its a party platter" got home with it for the family and it was missing the scallops and all shrimp were over cooked to the point you couldn't bite them in half like they became rubber, sasuage was a little over done as well but we managed in total spent 120 after tip and tax only to be let down so I called the store and they told me sorry about that and hung up on me.... so I called back and spoke with the "manager" he informed me that he would make it right and give me a number 5 no shame platter with the extra shrimp and scallops that were missing to make it right i was very happy with this decision because we love seafood.... well I called today to order the owed platter and also get my wife a similar platter for dinner they took the order and told me it would be 30 min. ( I live in easley so this wasn't a issue) so we get in the car and drive and are pulling into downtown pickens I get a call saying they will not honor that replacement to me that seems like I got ripped off on a expensive seafood dinner hope noone else gets ripped off by this...

Serving in an oil "bath" made it a terrible mess trying to eat. The fish was, at most, a 3 ounce flatter than a pancake portion. Fried hard. So hard it was difficult to cut even with a knife. The 2" sliver of corn on the cob was shriveled and dried out despite floating in the oil bath. The tacos were missing the avocado and the crema was inedible.
To top it off the child who waited (brought our drinks and rang us up) on us was rude - primarily because she was a child and didn't know how to handle the first child who took our drink orders incorrectly.
Both children were the only "staff" in the front of the restaurant and it was very apparent in their demeanor and in their lack luster interactions with customers that they did not want to be there. I thought NC had child labor laws??

Read moreI gave this place deserves FIVE STARS for it's authenticity and the huge effort-to-please extended to us by the lady who appears to be the chef/cook. She was so nice! We sat at an outside table, under the carport. It was very pleasant on the day we were there, Saturday, 10/15. I had one each tacos: carnitas, pastor, and steak on soft, hot corn tortillas, cilantro and onion. The red and green hot sauces were very good, and not so hot that my wife couldn't enjoy them. I like spicy hot, and they were fine. The tacos were accompanied by a basket of chips (hot and crispy, though not my favorite style) and also two salsas: one mild and one warmer. Both were nice and tasty. My wife had 3 beef tacos in crunchy shells. They were a minced beef mixture, with sour cream, and looked like Taco Bell's taco. These are probably the way the locals like them. My wife did too. We also enjoyed the refried beans....
