Their lettuce/ salad dressing fridge was not cold enough or working properly. And I personally observed because we were sitting right next to the broken fridge. How this 2 older gentle man used a dirty and filthy thermometer he was carrying on his dirty denim pant waist to test the temperature of their salad dressings. At first i did not know what was inside the containers, but when i saw the waitress used a spoon to get the salad dressing to serve to a patron on their salad. I saw how this engineer ( who was dressed in dirty clothes, no professional company uniform) crossed contaminate every salad dressing by simply wiping it down on an old rag. When he saw that i was observing him, he used a paper towel and said something in Spanish to other male that was with him. His hands were filthy and dirty and he sucked on his finger when he had dressing from the container. He had no hair net no gloves no uniform to complaint to his company. Just gross and the Middle aged Caucasian manager just over looking. That Caucasian manager Just He bounced really fast out of Norms to his car. We had nothing better to do but to observe what they were doing while we waited for our food ( good thing our food was heated on the grill and not come from that broken down fridge. The experience was appalling and gross to observe. I will never go back to this Norms....
Read moreTitle :Night and Day (Part Two) So this is the same night as my review of the Norms in Whittier. We ended up here because of the bad service we received at the other location . For one thing our waitress Daisy WAS AWESOME, Omg happy to see us and like the other location not busy at all. But she was so nice and made us feel welcome and the we had an issue with the free So Cal breakfast at the other location we signed up for the notifications and understood we wouldn’t get the free one until next time but my gf still wanted to order it and pay for it . We just wanted to know the price. The waitress at the other location said there was no way to ring it up with out the code . We told Daisy about it , and guess what . She figures a way to charge it . We told her about our experience at the other NORMS and she was surprised . But she was on point all there way she even asked me how I wanted my toast . I was taken back I didn’t know what to say no one has ever asked me that lol She made our night Daisy if your reading this thing me and gf Cathy so appreciated you, you made our night. There’s no NORMS where we live in Hemet (2 hours away). So NORMS is a treat for us, Pico is our new location . Oh and btw , the cook for that night ( sorry I didn’t get his name), my steak was awesome and eggs...
Read moreThey might have roaches in their ice. Let me start off saying, I love this place. Always treated with respect and smiles and they never get my food wrong. I even came in two weeks ago with an even bigger group.
Came here for lunch today and there was what appeared to be a baby ROACH, not a mosquito, in my ice water.
At first I saw what looked like black pepper, nbd, I drank it anyways. A few straw stirs later and a bug comes up! No I did not take a picture. I was disappointed and disgusted and did not want to see it again. Okay. Gross. I asked for a Sierra Mist. I was enjoying it until I then saw what looked like the end of that black stuff in shrimp. Yes. That. I tried to not make it a big deal sooo I asked for orange juice, no ice and the manager at the end of the meal. The manager brought my orange juice while I was chewing on my food and she said “Hi I heard we found a little friend” I tried to explain to her that I asked to see her at the end of my meal so I could at least enjoy that but she responded with “well I’m here now so..” long story short…
The manager (Cristiana?) was rude and unapologetic and only offered a drink replacement. My eldest brother was upset so we got up and left…
Brother left a nice Yelp review if y’all want to...
