Infamous Ink — Local services in Pico Rivera

Art is a great tattoo artist but overbooked his schedule. I scheduled at 3pm and came on time. I brought $100 over what he quoted me to tip. I even gave pizza to everyone. I was trying to be the friendliest I could be because that's my personality. Apparently my over friendliness was too much.

I was not informed in my correspondence that I needed to confirm my session the morning of the day it takes place. Art politely let me know that because I had only confirmed 30 mins prior to the schedule I would have to be rescheduled. I chose not to. He also informed me that by me being friendly I made others uncomfortable.

This is apparently not a tattoo shop that welcomes everyone and has scheduling issues. It also showed discrimination issues. I'm disappointed I drove out 40 mins to be discriminated against.

They also claim to be closed on google and in the store front when they are not.

Politely talking to people about life shouldn't get you kicked out...

My daughter designed a tattoo for me and I was hunting for a tattoo artist that could replicate it faithfully and with skill. After much research I booked an appointment with Art Gallardo and he gave me a great deal. The artwork looked amazing and he had a light hand (I have another tattoo which hurt like hell but this experience was great. Almost makes me want to get a whole sleeve done). While Art worked he and I had a great long conversation and I felt like I was talking to my brother and long-time friend. The staff and other tattoo artists at the shop all had great personalities and they joked around with each other and have the shop a great positive vibe. My next tattoo will definitely be here. I feel like this place was kind of unprofessional. I'm from Seattle, and for my daughters 18th, she wanted a tattoo. I googled based on reviews and settled on this one.

We went in, and they didn't check our ID'S and didn't have us sign a waiver or anything. They quoted my daughter the "base" rate, even for a simple tattoo. Reasonable.

Once we got in, my daughter tweaked the design a bit, and the artist decided to add $50 on top of the base. I didn't think it was worth $175 at all. I tried to reason with the artist about the pricing, but he didn't budge. He probably thought since we're from out of town and it's my daughter's first tattoo that he could bop us.

3 months after the tattoo, it already needs to be retouched. Will NOT...
