I loved this place, my favorite restaurant, and I came here often since I live across the street but after today I will no longer be coming back ever. I NEVER complain about or return anything I order from anywhere even if they make a mistake on my order. Today (on Wednesday July 25 in between 11 30 am to 12 30pm) i ordered something off of their menu that includes eggs and a piece of meat. First of all I ordered my sunny side eggs cooked well done, I got over easy eggs. And then I got a small strip of meat, which I was expecting something bigger because I've ordered the same dish and gotten more meat. I let the waitress know and asked if I could get my eggs dome the way I ordered them and mentioned about the meat. Okay, she does so kindly and and then let's me know that my eggs will be re-done but the size of meat is what they usually give out on the order I asked for and that if I wanted more meat I would be charged extra. Okay, I accepted the fact that the size of meat could not be helped without getting charged extra. I was fine after that and was just waiting on my eggs but then my mom and i overheard the cook talking loudly all the way from the back of the kitchen in a rude manner saying things complaining about us. I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS SITUATION NOT BECAUSE MY ORDER GOT MESSED UP BUT BECAUSE THE WAY THE COOK HANDLED THINGS. We let the waitress know we would be complaining to the owner and then we overheard him saying he was going to explain things to the owner of the restaurant, Don Carlos. Not even the waitress, she handled things politely and tried to downplay the rudeness of the cook. I couldn't even eat my eggs after they brought them back because I didn't trust the cook after his attitude. It's also super upsetting that I feel like I can't come here, my favorite restaurant, ever again. I wouldn't be able to trust having my food cooked by someone with this attitude. One particular waitress, that seems to be in charge of the others, appears to lack manners, communication and customer service experience. She also has an attitude and a tendency to murmur rude responses, when questions are made. She’s done it twice to me, but today was the last time. I am a paying customer, and the last thing I need is some entitled waitress’ ruining the moment. the food isn’t all that great to say the least. The place is unkept and dirty, food quality has declined in the past months. My wife and I decided to move on to other locations. Read moreWe stayed at an Airbnb in Pico Rivera for a couple of days, went to breakfast Sunday am, we were the 1st ones when they open. We weren’t sure of how it was going to go since the location is not in the main plaza and the parking is limited. We sat down and right away a server came and she was very friendly, pretty smile and attentive, yes even on a Sunday at 9am. I didn’t get her name since they don’t have a name tag. The food started to be served and it looked good, good side portions.
