I heard really good things about this place and decided to give it a try. I ordered the pork platter with double onion rings. My pork was nothing but fat, the one bite of meat I did get was soggy and flavorless, maybe a little under cooked. My onion rings were burnt on the outside and hard uncooked on the inside. The Texas toast was the only thing I did eat. My daughter ordered the catfish plater with fries and hush puppies, she doesn't eat hush puppies so she gave them to me, also burnt on the outside and raw uncooked on the inside. I'm not sure they were even safe to eat, ( not just doughy but like box sweet breed mixed straight of bowl raw on the inside) Also didn't eat those. My son ordered a burger and fries, his only complaint was the burger had absolutely no seasoning and was the size of a half dollar and his bun was rock hard. I never do reviews especially bad ones, usually I just eat and never return even if I don't particularly like the food it's usually still eatable. but a $60 tab for us to leave and go eat somewhere else is a bit much. This food wasn't even eatable. I gave one star because the server was nice and concerned why our plates were full after "eating" she asked how the food was and I was honest, she did offer to make us something else but after the first experience it was a waste of her...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place, but was let down. I know they just opened and I hope they can improve. We walked in and the atmosphere is just a bit odd. It’s a black room that’s very loud and echoey. We ordered the Brisket Nachos about 20 minutes before our food and it still came out with the rest of our food, which defeats the purpose of an appetizer. The nachos looked good but the chips (more like whole grain crackers) were just a little weird. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my son ordered a kids cheeseburger, when they brought them out we couldn’t tell which was which because they were both the same size and neither had bacon. The meat wasn’t seasoned and I could have made a better burger at home. It took forever for the food to come out our waitress came to our table 4 times to tell us sorry about the wait and that they just got out of a rush … There was nobody else in the restaurant until after we got our food. A family came in after we got our food and a lady abruptly ran from her chair gagging like she was about to puke and we instantly weren’t hungry anymore and started to get paranoid. We picked up a bottle of Pepto on the way home for...
Read moreHad lunch today with a coworker and our bosses brother and father. Loved the environment and knew soon as I walked in I had to try the BBQ. I got the BBQ plate with coleslaw and potato salad. All of it was delicious but I really enjoyed the potato salad. My guess is it’s a sour cream base over the traditional mayonnaise. I loved that it was homemade. Too many places skip that and if they even offer it, it’s from a tub. And I can’t stand premade potato salad. The bacon in there was a great touch. Only thing I was personally missing for me to call it perfect was some onion. But I ain’t hating. The slaw was also very good. Not a vinegar slaw. Comparable to jacks. The cabbage was fresh you could tell it was made that morning. Overall the food was a five out of five. Greatly enjoyed the time and conversation we were able to share here. Will definitely be stopping in anytime we work in that area. The waitress didn’t catch her name but she was a pretty blonde. She was a very sweet girl and did a wonderful job taking care...
