On our way down from the Smoky Mountain State Park, we happened across an antique mall along the highway. Of course we went in sort— you sort of have to. Antique mall along the highway in Tennessee, a must stop and see. Anyways, we didn’t get any antiques. They just weren’t our cup of tea but we were hungry. Inside this antique mall is a quaint little burger joint. Whereas the outside says Bob’s 1950’s Diner, it is in the process of being renamed “1950’s Diner.” It is under new ownership and the entrepreneur is 19. He was great to talk to and made the food himself. He laughed that we called pop, well pop. And we laughed that he called it soda. Great conversation, great food and a good little pit stop for a boo around a really big antique mall. Lots of nooks and crannies to hunt around. We like to meet new and interesting businesses’ along our journey’s so if you know of one, or are one then drop us a line at our website under our own name. You got it- Doug and Shannon with the dot the com. We would love to hear from you. Cheers, Doug and Shannon

This place was excellent. My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town and I have severe life-threatening food allergies. It is always hard for me to eat out, especially on trips where I don’t know any of the local food places. The ladies here were amazing with my food allergies, allowing me to read the ingredients to everything on the menu (for cross contamination purposes) and were very patient with me. The food was absolutely amazing; the woman cooking the food really knows her stuff! We loved the atmosphere, the food, the customer service, and everything about the entire experience. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Pigeon Forge.

This is for the diner specifically, not the antique store it's apart of. Ms.K is so sweet and makes a fantastic juicy cheeseburger. We had a hot dog, blt, 2 burgers and a banana split. Loved it all. The dining area is just a bar with 6 or 7 stools and 5 or 6 booths. She said during the holidays she'll have a line and standing room only and I believe it because it's delicious!

Anytime my wife and I are out somewhere on vacation we like to try and visit some local places to eat that come highly recommended. I googled “Best Hamburgers” and one of the places that showed up was “The 50’s Diner” , so we decided to go give the burgers a try. Let’s just say that we both are burger snobs meaning we hate frozen patty burgers. This young man hand pats each burger. For $9.00 you can get a dressed burger with fries and a coke. Cheese or bacon adds a little bit extra but it’s not a lot more.

Upon meeting the owner he seems to just be quiet and strictly about his work which there is nothing wrong with. But after the rush slows down he comes by your table and wants to be sure that your food was good and that you are satisfied and that you leave happy.

Bottom line...if you want a GOOD Hamburger in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area go pay him a visit. First and foremost he is truly a small business and he needs our business to survive. Y’all go give him a try, unless you are just one of those people who complains about everything you won’t be sorry that...

Okay so this place will be a little different and you’ll think you are in the wrong spot — BUT go anyway. Just know, it’s TINY and shares space with an antique store.

This isn’t fancy by any means.. but if you are on a budget and want a burger, this is the spot.

It’s made right in front of you, literally. It’s simple, burgers and fries and a beverage for $10. They have a few other options and floats too. Kiddos got floats and they were good! Real 50s vibe and made me feel nostalgic.

Idk what they do to the burgers but MAN were they good! Like.. 5 star good. Flavorful, juicy.. yum!

My kiddo had the loaded fries and they were awesome too.

Staff was kind and caring.

Only thing I would say is the workers need to wear gloves more 🥲 - but hey, we still ate the food and have zero regrets.

Will...
