Management has the worse costumer service of any restaurant I have ever been in. My wife and I went there for our anniversary dinner. We were seated quickly (no one else there). The waitress took our drink order. And returned with our drinks (fountain drink and a bottle of water) she then took our food order only to return in less than a minute telling us that they were out of steak. We did not want anything else on the menu so the waitress laid down a bill for our drinks. My wife had not openned the bottle of water so we gave it back. The waitress was too scared to give us the house drink. I informed the waitress that I would be leaving a review on line. At that time the chef/manager(?) Came out and rudely told me he couldn't help it that they had ran out of steak. I ended up paying $2.49 for a lousy fountain drink. When I asked for a to go cup for the fountian drink they brought me a 6 oz cup for a 12 oz drink. Never again at...

Alannah was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. She knew every detail about every dish, lots of fun lore about the restaurant itself (which is the original McCoy House - you know, as in "The Hatfields and the McCoys?) - and tons of cool details about Pikeville itself.
And that's before we even GET to the food which was next-level good. When I lived in Atlanta, I used to eat at this little place on the corner where Anthony would just nod at me and say "I'll fix you something" and bring me a new custom dish every visit.
I loved that, and I loved the personal connection to that place, but I have to say, the food at Chirico's edged out Anthony's offerings and I honestly didn't think that was possible. It was superb. Rich, well-blended flavors that really popped.
Can't wait to go back, and would recommend to anyone...
Read moreTERRIBLE SERVICE! Had to wait 20 minutes to be seated bc they had a couple big parties. The had 2 groups of less than 10 and a table of 2 in the whole restaurant. Our appetizer never came. Our bread finally came after the food and after we asked. The soup was cold and the service was scant as we had to ask for refills. We almost froze to death. Otherwise, the food was pretty good.
Update: When we paid (the bill was $178.00 for 7 of us - 2 just got soup and salad and most of us drank water). She did us the "favor" of taking the appetizer off the bill after we reminded her. She asked if everything was ok and we told her no, the soup was cold and it was too cold to comfortably sit and eat. She said sorry, but didn't offer to make it right, no discount, coupon, or anything. Will definitely not be back. It's a shame because we always loved Chiricos when the original...
