Once you’ve been one time, that’s really all you need to go. But I’ve been a couple of times and it’s pretty decent. Food, friends, rides, booths, hot temps, more food, lemonade, etc, etc. This previous time (2022), we only got a lemonade and a water and that was $6. I read that other people’s foods/drinks cost $$. It’s outrageous and I’d hate to see next year’s prices if everything continues to go up. Overall though, it’s a fun experience.

Has become very, very, very commercial. Not much related to history. Does not feel authentic in the least...all the Hillbilly's are covered in plastic buttons. Only a few locals do any dancing.

I was told that the kin calling event was cancelled months prior, but they still kept it on the website anyways.

No mechanical bull.

One of the best carnival ride (Midway) at any fair I've been to.

The parade was ok, but the jalopies drove thru too fast. Instead of the parade, they should just have all the jalopies parked in town so folks could walk thru and see them.

Music was a mix - some bands were good, others were so-so.

One problem is that it ends Sat at 6pm, vendors out by 9pm. So here is this three day event, but it closes early on Sat.

I saw the fireworks on Friday night, and how they started a fire on...
