Has become very, very, very commercial. Not much related to history. Does not feel authentic in the least...all the Hillbilly's are covered in plastic buttons. Only a few locals do any dancing.
I was told that the kin calling event was cancelled months prior, but they still kept it on the website anyways.

One of the best carnival ride (Midway) at any fair I've been to.
The parade was ok, but the jalopies drove thru too fast. Instead of the parade, they should just have all the jalopies parked in town so folks could walk thru and see them.
Music was a mix - some bands were good, others were so-so.
One problem is that it ends Sat at 6pm, vendors out by 9pm. So here is this three day event, but it closes early on Sat.
