Worst customer service I’ve EVER experienced at El Azul and the food wasn’t much better. Drove 3 and a half hours to visit the in laws for a Birthday, called in an order and stopped on the way in to pick it up. Young guy at the counter hands my Wife a bag and we continue our trip. 10 minutes down the road I asked her to get me something from the bag and she realizes my order is wrong and half of the entire $70 order is missing. We turn around and travel another 10 minutes back to the restaurant. I walk in with the bag and tell the young guy half my order is missing. He turns around and hands me the other bag he failed to give my Wife the first time. I could understand if they were busy or something, but they were dead and he just didn’t care at all. I ask him, “seriously?” He smirks and shakes his head yes. I start to walk out and turn around upset and ask “not a sorry, an eff you, nothing?” He didn’t respond. Waited until I got almost out the door and said something I didn’t hear. Added 30 minutes to my trip, my order was still wrong, and now we get to eat cold food, for $70. My wife also asked if she could get a small cup of the seasoning salt they season their chicken with (she has done this for years with no issue) and they simply tell her “no”.
As for the food, I asked for no onions on the el azul cheese steak and I swear there was at least a pound of onions in them. A comical amount. The steak, the fajitas, the vegetables all looked like they barely touched a skillet, everything was undercooked and under seasoned. Guacamole was baby poop brown. The rice is different than I’ve ever had from El Azul before. We used to love it, but this was AWFUL. The cheese quesadillas might have been decent when they were hot, but by the time we got to eat it was a soggy falling apart tortilla with a rubber wad of cheese.
Beyond disappointed. I’ve been eating here since I was a kid (mostly the downtown location) and have never had an issue like this. The young punk at the register needs to be washing dishes and replace him with someone that has a...
Read moreThe worst service we have ever had. My husband, kids, and I sat for 45 minutes before a server came over to take our order. The host brought us over a basket of chips we got no salsa or bowls we asked for more chips and salsa the host brought more but still no bowls. Once we got our food after 25 more minutes the kids were out of milk and we asked for a refill and the server said they can’t have a refill and my husband and I were so confused and asked why and the server said no refill on milk and we asked well can we buy another and the server said no and we were starting to get mad and the server finally brought the kids more milk at extra charge. We asked for silverware and the server brought back plastic spoons and forks we looked at all other tables everyone else had regular silverware and my husband and I asked for a refill on Pepsi the server brought back 1 so my husband and I had to share and then we eventually had to find the server after we were done eating to ask for our check. It was a horrible experience and we had enjoyed going to this restaurant in the past but with that bad of service we will not be...
Read moreTraveled from SC & stopped here on the way back home. I bragged about how good El Azuls was to my husband, although it had been many years since I’d ate there, and the location had changed. The food was good but it wasn’t great. Staff and environment was nice. I probably wouldn’t eat there again before trying somewhere else though. The food wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t...
