Saracen Casino "Resort", most notably known as Club Saracen or The Discotheque at Pine Bluff. Before I go into my review of Red Oak, I'd like to stress, there is NO RESORT. Supposedly it's in the process of being built “phase 2”, but, IF and when that happens, what is the draw to Pine Bluff?????? With that being said, my thoughts on Red Oak Steakhouse. It is the fancy place to go, to wine and dine your significant other on a night of winning big or feeling like a highfalutin dinner with no means to Little Rock. 😭
So what did we order? Appetizers: root beer pork belly, dry aged brisket The root beer pork belly. For those not familiar with pork belly, it’s essentially unsmoked bacon. Don’t waste your money. Just imagine a microwaved root beer flavored gummy bear. Dry aged brisket. I’m a Texan and we put brisket on the map. I suspect if leather was edible this would be it! Entrees: dry aged ribeye, a5 kobe ribeye. I’ve always been taught, (cooking 101), always season your food! Who doesn’t season their steaks prior to cooking?? For as expensive as it is, for as much as they like to say they’re award winning, they don’t know how to season a cut of meat. Highly disappointed. 👎🏽👎🏽
Would I recommend Red Oak? NO! Why drive all the way to Pine Bluff when you can get the equivalent in Little Rock, Arthur’s Prime, Sonny Williams’ or LR’s staple Doe’s Eat Place. If you're really wanting to try A5 Kobe, and have a Costco membership, warehouse sells A5 Kobe along with Iberico pork. Season and cook to your liking at...
Read moreThis took me way too long for me to getting around to write this review especially how amazing our experience was but here it goes. I’m from California and we are new to the state we have just found one of the best fine dining restaurants in Arkansas. In fact, Chef Todd and the staff have one of the best restaurants we have ever been to they pulled out all of the stops on this one from appetizer to desert. We go out to eat alot and I can say we haven’t found a place here that we would visit more than once yet until now. I can usually find one or two items I really like and would go back for but this dinner at RED OAK Steak House at Saracen resort was so amazing!! My wife and I had dinner there with my parents we were there on Sunday, September 4th. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had the Dry-Aged Ribeye my father had the Prime Rib and my wife had the Filet and all of which were cooked to perfection it was like a ball of butter in my mouth, mom had a killer Salmon Filet. Our waiter and the rest of the staff was so very knowable with the menu and the cocktail’s that they served our waiter gave us a history lesson one each drink he recommended personally I recommend the 18895 old fashion. He went far and beyond in meeting our needs and it was a pleasure to spend our evening enjoying our...
Read moreI visited a Red Oak Steakhouse in Pine Bluff Arkansas inside the Sarasen Casino on May 7, 2022, the day before Mother’s Day. Where I was treated poorly as a new guest and made to feel less of a human as I was denied seating in the dining area and seated at the bar instead. Me and my friend were told that we couldn’t reserve a seat until 8:30pm bc they were full as we clearly observed that they weren’t but decided to give benefit of doubt and not make a fuss. Shortly after another person of another race and their dog came in before 8:30pm with no reservation and was able to be seated in the dining area with their dog. That was a horrible feeling that I don’t wish for anyone to ever feel. Not to mention they took an hour or more to get us our food. Todd R. Gold was the guy who gave us a card and who I believe was the manager that day. He gave my friend his food free but that to me does not make up for what they did. I don’t think a place like that should be in business. Especially when the majority of people that I believe they will be serving are the people that they are discriminating against. I’ve been busy so this is why I’m just now writing this review but I could never...
