Mangos Caribbean — Restaurant in Pine Lake

DONT EAT HERE! Firstly when we first walked in we didn’t get greeted, didn’t know where to order because the building is spilt up. The music was so loud in this little space couldn’t even hear the guy taking our order and he was the one controlling the music. We ordered one jerk plate and the wait was 45 minutes to 1 whole hour. We got our food after the hour long wait went to the car opened it and it was barely any food on the plate, one to two pieces a chicken 2 scoops of rice and 2 plantains with some dry cabbage. So I explained to him that it was barely any food and we didn’t even touch anything on the plate, as soon as we walked out we came right back in 2 minutes later I requested a refund the guy said “let me call the boss man” I said okay that’s fine. He called him, opened the plate then stayed “it looks like you all have been tampering with the food” I stated we didn't touch not one thing on that plate. He proceeded to walk away and continue to talk to the “boss man” shortly after he came back and opened the plate again accusing us saying “it looks like they picked with the food”. I again stated “we did not touch anything on plate” then he started getting argumentative then said to the boss man “no because I’m not about to argue with a child” tf type of business are they running here then not to mention they have some of their employees or family members idk who rolling up weed....

i came here to pick up an uber order. i checked online before coming and it said the store closes at 2am. i arrive by 1:10am and the sitting area outside is full. i go inside to retrieve my order and someone tells me the restaurant is closed. mind you, he's blowing backwood smoke in my face the whole while. it is now 1:16 and the turned off the music. but the store is still full! the man that told me they were closed has since turned the music back on and is outside dancing and smoking with friends. so it's giving they shut everything down and hr early to party. very bad for business.

then a guy comes to my truck as i'm typing this (as if my presence was inconveniencing their party) and asks if i'd like to get food. i told him the man said they were closed. he reiterates they were closed but asks if i want to order food. there is another man and a young lady walking in right now! business is for making money. not a place to throw parties an hour...

First off let me start by saying I used to swear by this restaurant! They once had the best oxtails in my area that I knew of. Today I got them for the first time in a long time. I was hesitant bc of the Google reviews but had been craving them for weeks so I decided to order some via DoorDash. This was the ABSOLUTE WORST oxtail plate I ever had. The rice had a weird smell that tastes like it had been sitting out all day. I got sick after eating a few bites. I did not finish my plate and spent $32 plus my own gas money to get this food. Idk who changed the recipe or what’s going on but I’m HIGHLY UNSATISFIED. Oxtails had 0 seasoning and taste like it was out sitting in grease all day. Nothing about this $30 a** meal was fresh and that’s unacceptable. The cabbage wasn’t worth talking about either. I wouldn’t feed it to a dog...
