I normally dont like to give bad reviews... every place and staff have bad days. This is an exception. Can't say anything about the food... we didn't get seated at Cason's because the only table they had for 7 people was "reserved." That was odd because we were told they didn't make reservations. The hostess told us to go to the connecting Piedmont Dinning room. There were a lot of empty tables, but we literally had three people rolling their eyes when we asked to be seated. This was at 8:30 pm, so it's not late. I can't imagine 7 people would be a huge party. We did get seated straight away as the restaurant was less than half full. The strange attitude from the staff started at the hostess but carried through to the waitress. The first item with her was 5 menus for 7 people, but she did bring us 7 waters. Right in the middle of talking to us, the waitress just walked off and started cleaning tables while we were talking to her. She was even talking under her breath and just stared back at us as she wiped down tables. We got a real vibe that none of them wanted us there. Maybe it's for locals only... i dont know. She may also have been trying to force us to get the buffet. We just felt like we were unwelcomed and, after several uncomfortable minutes, had to get up and leave. This is the first time for all 7 of us getting up and leaving. What a strange experience. The food was ridiculously expensive also. Most of the entree food was over $40. The only entree less than that was a simple pesto pasta dish for $26 plus $5 for a protein. It may have been worth the prices, but I highly doupt it for basically the same food on the buffet. I will...
Read moreI think this establishment is seriously understaffed. There were 7 in our party. I suspected we would have a bad experience after entering the establishment and having 3 different servers and a manager walk by us and no one said a thing to us. So we stopped the person who appeared to be a manager/supervisor of some kind and asked if we seat ourselves. She answered âyesâ (Iâm not sure why someone couldnât mention this to us as they repeatedly walked by us đ¤ ). She then asked âhow many in your party?â We told her and she replied âgive me a minuteâ and proceeded to disappear. In the meantime we saw 7 people seated at a table leave. So we mentioned to a server who walked by us that we would take that table. We cleared the table by moving all the dishware to another table. At this time, the âmanagerâ returned and we asked for menus which we received almost immediately after asking for them (we became hopeful our luck had changed). We waited for about 10 minutes for someone to take our order and finally decided to go buy groceries and cook our own dinner back at our cottage. Suffice it to say I recommend eating anywhere else but Casonâs...
Read moreComplete and utter DISASTER. Everything. No one to greet us, finally sat down. Took over 15 for a waitress to greet us. Food took over an hour and was so gross and two plates had hair in it. Corn fritters came out raw. Kids mac n cheese cold and dry and the little one even refused to eat it - looked at it all disgusted like âno way yâall!â I ordered a plate of veggies and they said it was $19 âbut loadedâ and it was cold and over cooked and very not loaded. Everything was bland. Kids meals took longest to come out and the kids were so hungry - always bring kids meals first!!! We, a group of 12, arrived around 5:20, we didnât leave until past 7 pm! And that was us asking for a check for like 30 minutes. Disaster. We had tickets to the lights for 7 pm. Itâs on the same property!! Wouldnât they expect people coming in because of this!? In the words of my brother in law, âthis is Cisco food truck delivery warmed up but still cold.â Save your time, your sanity, your money, and your digestive...
