The Iron Horse Grill — Restaurant in Pine Mountain

The atmosphere and food was great, the service was TERRIBLE. I believe if we had gotten any other waiter it would’ve been fine. We were served by a brown haired shoulder length waitress, i would give you her name but she never told us. The first red flag should’ve been that, the second red flag was bringing two diet cokes instead of cokes like asked. When told that we were given diet coke, she blamed the machine and asked if we wanted a different drink, when we asked what other soda products they had, she didn’t know. Then we all ordered, three out of four meals were brought out first, my meal missing. My father waited on me to eat but we quickly realized his barbecue burger that he had asked for extra barbecue on the side had none on it at all. My mother’s side never got brought out with her meal and my entire meal took nearly twenty minutes to come out afterwards. We watched a table beside us get sat after us, get their meals before us and leave before us. Finally my meal gets brought out for my father to bite into his sandwich just to find out that it wasn’t a burger at all but my missing chicken sandwich. But at this point we had been sitting my so long he refused to let me complain. While all of this was going on our waitress hadn’t been seen since she took our order originally. Another waiter saw us and took care of us because i believe he could see on our faces that it was wrong. Nothing was taken off our meal and we didn’t see her until my meal was fixed by another waiter. Extremely disappointed that the one place we wanted to try while in town for a family reunion failed so miserably all because of one incompetent waitress who didn’t seem to even notice how long we sat without her...

I was very pleasantly surprised with my dinner experience last weekend. It's rare that I come back more than a week later to write a positive review, but here we are! It's a gorgeous rustic vibe type restaurant, in my opinion. We wanted to sit outside to experience the cute patio but there looked to be an event going on there so we settled for inside no problem. We came at a perfect time- a group of 6 young women- as we were able to be seated right away at a spacious table with some comfy side chairs. The dining room wasn't too big, but it wasn't small enough to bother us at all. Our server (I believe her name was Miranda but I really can't remember. It did start with an M!) came over a few minutes later with a perky demeanor that we all appreciated. They have a pretty medium-big menu, depending on what you're used to, so it was hard to choose what to get because everything sounded good and it's not every day you get the option of a chili dog. There are no pictures, but each item has a brief description of what it entails plus our server didn't have any issue answering our questions. I settled on the chicken & waffles (came with TWO sides, too!) which I don't usually get, so I was excited to try and … THEY WERE DELICIOUS! I literally stopped in shock at how good the first bite was. My sisters each enjoyed their meals as well (they all got wings and tenders) and said it was juicy and flavorful. We were visiting Callaway Gardens and decided to try the closest local place to us without checking any reviews and let's just say it worked out greatly in our favor! We will definitely be coming back on our next trip.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting a 50th birthday celebration for a friend at The Iron Horse Grill, and let me just say, it was nothing short of spectacular! We reserved the beautiful balcony area of the restaurant, and from start to finish, everything was perfection.

The ambiance was elevated by an incredible live performer who set the perfect tone for the evening. The food? Absolutely flawless, delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented. The kitchen staff kept everything replenished with impeccable timing, ensuring no guest ever had to wait or wonder.

But what truly made this event unforgettable was the exceptional staff. Mary, Hannah, and Victoria were the dream team we didn’t know we needed. Their attentiveness, warmth, and dedication to detail made every guest feel cared for and every moment run seamlessly. They went above and beyond in every way imaginable!

A special shoutout to Ms. Sarah Black, the event coordinator extraordinaire. Her professionalism, communication, and attention to detail ensured we had more than enough food, a smooth setup, and a flawless flow. She is truly gifted at what she does!
