White Columns Motel — Hotel in Pine Mountain

I would have easily given this Motel a 5-star review had it not been for a couple minor things. I looked at the phone cuz I wanted to call the front desk and there was no phone cord attached to the phone and the wall. The reason I was trying to call the front desk was to ask for the Wi-Fi code. There was nobody at the desk at the time that I tried to call. Nowhere in the room was the wife I could posted and I needed to do some work. Other than that, the room was very nice although dated. The bed was extremely comfortable and I got two good night's rest while staying there. This is a No Frills type of Motel but offers all the basic amenities that you would need. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in Pine Mountain, This is it. If you are looking for luxury, it is not. Just spent three days at the White Columns Motel and will stay there again on my next trip to Pine Mountain as long as Amita still owns it. The cinder-block room was spacious and nicely appointed with a mini-fridge and microwave, large flat screen TV, a new air conditioner and a very comfortable bed with immaculate linens. Our family stayed the week between Christmas and New Years 2015. All of the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The owner was so friendly and helpful. She gave us great tips our first night about the local restaurants, attractions, and even the best places to see beautiful sites and valleys. The motel is close to everything; so convenient. The motel was not fancy, but the rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. The continental breakfast was good but we would have appreciated some yogurt and/or fruit to go with the bagels.
