Damsite Watering Hole — Restaurant in Pine River

First time here. We were here at 5pm (not busy) hoping for tye $6 Smash Birger special bit they ran out during lunch. We were told they're thawing another batch that would be available withijg the next hour. So my husband and dad ordered the Mushroom Swiss, I ordered the Nashville Chicken Wrap, and our friends ordered a bowl of chili and a boiled Walleye dinner.

Waiter I understand we all have pur off days but the waiter only gets 3 stars because [1] my wrap coke with Ranch or Blue Cheese, he never offered it (which I forgot all together when ordering). [2] he kept forgetting to give any of us any napkins. So I went to the bar area, where there was a plethora of paper towel rolls on every table and I grabbed for everyone at my table. After helping his second table, he came over with napkins and apologized. [3] I finally ordered my blue cheese but he must have been distracted because it took longer than I would expect to get it.

Food I asked the waiter if it was policy to ask how burgers are done and he said they cook all of them medium-well. Both my husband's and my dad's burgers were undercooked, more so for husband (see pics). The waiter gave use half price for the burgers, which was the least he could do.

All in all, the walleye dinner was good, the chili was okay, but the fried were amazing. Great atmosphere with a nice signed Honor Wall for...

First time there, it was the 2nd night, table of 5, I had the Pasta Diablo because I heard the waitress tell someone there was shrimp in it that night instead of chicken, great choice, it was delicious! We also, as a sharable, had the artichoke dip which was very good. I can't speak for the others except for one wishing he had a baked potato 😉 very impressed with the wine choices, not the regular run of the mill wine options, nice. 2nd visit there was for the burger, which would be my traditional first stop at a new place to see if they know what they are doing, they do, great burger! Right choice on a bun, brioche, not sesame, it was even warm, burger tasted good, good fries, I was impressed 👍 usually I'll take half the burger home to try it in the morning to see if I still think it's good when it's cold, but I ate it all. 😄 So my only complaint would be, warm up the atmosphere somewhat, it needs a bit more personality, way too bright white, but...

I stopped in at noon today for lunch. There were several tables full of customers and some at the bar. I was greeted kindly at the door and told I could sit wherever I'd like. The waitress was busy with some customers and the bartender came over to my table to ask what I'd like to drink. I ordered a 22 Oz Blue Moon. Waitress brought me a menu shortly after and she told me the special of the day. I ordered the build your own Crispy Chicken sandwich and fries. My meal was delivered in a very reasonable time...piping hot just the way I like it. The fixings I ordered were fresh and correct. Nice large chicken breast filet with a nice crispy batter. Owner was there and asked me how everything was and if I needed anything. The waitress....Merissa? Was also very attentive and friendly. Very reasonable prices...only 5$ for a large glass of beer...love it. Will definitely be back and highly recommend. Oh, and the place...including the bathroom...
