Let me preface this by saying this is a long review and the only reason that I am not giving a lower star scoring is because John, the manager is awesome and called me back personally.
For context: My daughter has loved beignets since she was small, now 16. Last week, I downloaded the app and placed my order for a drink and beignets. I went to pick up and the employee at the pickup counter stated the beignets sold out the evening before and that they refunded me. I asked if there was a better way to know if they were in stock and the employee told me to call ahead. I called a couple of days but never a pickup, just an automated message. I went to place a coffee order in the app today(10/13/25) and saw another phone number. A gentleman answered and I stated that I called the I incorrect number and he stated that it was correct. He informed me of the beignet machine issues they have had since opening a week and a half ago and he was trying to get to the bottom of it and on his way to the location. To my surprise I received a call back from John within an hour letting me know that the beignet machine was working. This was great customer service because he didn’t have to inform me and I would have tried another day.
I placed my order in app for beignets and a drink believing this would be a fast process. I waited behind a gentleman that placed an order at the pick up window, the employee took an order and then was able to assist. She handed me the beignets and sauce but no drink. When I went back to the window, she apologized and said the drink tickets had not been printing out today. So another surprise on a “quick” pickup order. My main issue is the listening skills of the employees. While they are SUPER nice and even gave me free egg bites for the inconvenience while I waited, their listening skills were not activated. I literally had to say my drink order 3 separate times to more than one employee reading it verbatim from my app order. The last time the other employee stated here is your hot wedding cake drink when it was a hot southern pecan that I ordered. I had to then sit more time for them to remake it. All in all 15 minutes to “pickup” an order. Not very convenient. The beignets are delicious, I don’t taste much of the pecan flavor in the drink, however the coffee is really good and not too sweet. There are a ton of coffee places I go to but will give PJs a few weeks to get settled and trained before...
Read moreOk, so if you haven't had a chance to visit the "Big Easy" aka "NOLA" then PJ'S is a great introduction to its soul. The coffee is delicious and they offer some unique flavors that no other chain offers. You're going to love the king cake cold brew. Its on the lighter side so if you want a little more of that bold flavor I do recommend adding a shot of espresso to give it that balance. Also the croissants are so light and fluffy like a cloud they're delicious and of course you cant skip on trying out a Beignet. The staff are super friendly and take the time to assure your order is correct. With all that said I recommend give them a try & to PJ'S maybe a location in Indian Land could be in your...
Read moreI know this place just opened up like a week ago but whoever trained these people should be fired. I heard about this place having the original cafe du monde coffee and beignets and was super excited. The coffee was so thick and grainy and brown, like dark dark brown, i'm assuming they forgot the milk.Because it does come with whole milk, didn't have any milk in it. The cold foam on top when I mixed it in curdled. They burnt the beignets. I don't blame the workers at all. I blame the manager and the manager above them because you didn't train these people. I'll give it a couple months, and maybe I'll try it again but literally, the coffee almost made...
