On tonight, my cousins and I decided to have dinner at Tequila on 28East in Pineville. While two of us arrived before the 3rd cousin, we decided to order our drinks and enjoy the chips and salsa. An older gentlemen waiter came and asked when the last person was going to arrive because he wanted us to hurry up and order our food so he could get off early because it was his birthday. Well we told him happy birthday and we joked that most people do not work on their birthdays! Well after that, he walked away and the last cousin arrived. He came and took her drink order and we asked for more chips and salsa for her. He returned with the wrong drink order and with a horrible attitude. He asked us was that all we wanted because he was not walking back and forth getting us things, mind you we still didn’t order our meal. The only thing that was asked of him was for him to bring queso for the cousin who had just arrived. I asked him what was with the attitude for because we always eat here and never experienced this before. I thought we were being pranked. After that I asked for the manager and he acted as if he did not understand or care! After asking for another waiter and the manager nothing was ever done, so I asked for our check to pay for the drinks so we could leave. While paying for the drinks, the manager came out and I informed him of what happened and he had nothing to say. Not one apology was made for him being rude to us! I became so enraged that I asked them were they treating us like this because we were black because my husband and I eat here all the time and I am not understanding the lack of disrespect. Well nothing was done once again! No apology, no understanding NOTHING. In all my years we have never experienced this type of behavior or treatment in a restaurant and we will...
Read moreWe had several issues come up when we dined here recently. The waiter was not attentive whatsoever. When we sat down and ordered drinks, I made sure to clarify to the gentleman what I wanted to drink. I said it three times to make sure he had it and each time her repeated it. He then still brought the wrong drink. We then had to wait for him to brink the correct one. Next, we ordered, and my friend specified that he did not want any shrimp in his meal as he is severely allergic. When they brought the food, it was full of shrimp. We literally told him 10 minutes before that he could not have shrimp. They then had to take it back and bring another without the shrimp. If it had been that he just doesnt like shrimp, we could have picked the shrimp out of it and not even say anything but, not when someone can literally die from having it in or remnants of it in their meal. So then, as the meal proceeds, my friend orders another large margarita. They bring it to him, he takes a sip, and their is a dead fly in it... a dead fly!!!! He almost slurped down a freaking fly! So he had to go find the waiter and ask for another drink. The waiter acted like it was no big deal that the drink had a fly in it. They never said anything about it and just replaced it. When the bill came, we paid and left. They didn't offer any compensation or have anyone apologize for the fly or screw up with the meal that could have been potentially deadly to my friend. The food was just not great at all, either. I had a chicken breast with shrimp and cheese sauce. The chicken was smashed completely flat and was extremely salty. It was actually not even pleasant at all. Overall, this experience was not great. The only thing good about it was spending time...
Read moreI did not come here and leave a bad review when there was hair in my food, I continued to eat lunch at this restaurant. I did not come here and leave a bad review when my food was burnt, I continued to eat lunch here. I continued to eat lunch here even when my server had a horrible attitude. We always come as a large group of ppl from the office but yesterday will be our last. I can look past everything else. But what I cannot look past is allowing them the have my credit card information so staff can alter my credit card recipes to reflect a tip when not authorized to do so. I do not tip on my credit card I only ever tip cash. Had them send me a picture of the receipt and anyone that I work with could tell you off hand that is not my handwriting. And to be told ma’am I don’t think he would risk his job for $5 insinuates you are assuming I am lying. So everyone pay attention. I can look past mostly everything but stealing from me is something I will...
