Service a little cold at first but warmed up later. Very dark at the bar despite all the terribly bright screens at all sides. There is a real emphasis on liquor and cocktails but not wine. I dont understand why that is with so many fine dishes on the menu. They should be paired with some fun, interesting wines and more variety. Here we are so close to one of the greatest wine regions in the world but the wine list here is lacking. The crab cakes in the restaurants pictures look thick, chunky and tasty. But the ones I recieved were mushy with a strong fishy taste and smell. But the CIOPINO. My God! Legendary. It was really terrific. The broth was so good I would drink it from a dirty sponge! The clams, muscles, shrimp, and beautiful chunks of white fish were so generous I became full half way through the meal. But kept eating. It was really out of this world good. I will regret saying this if the owner of the restaurant reads this but there was enough seafood in this dish to comfortably feed two. Maybe that's what they intended. All in all, if they did away with half the screens, the funny pink tables, and created a real wine list this place could be really special. I'll be back for the ciopino regardless. ( a closer look at the crab cakes below )

Service: Firstly the waiter sucked. We came and it wasn't busy. The waiter had 2 other tables, she took our drink orders along with the food as she took so long we were ready to order. She didn't put in a drink & got the food orders wrong. Guess she was too busy running her mouth at the bar with her colleagues. The appetizer came with the entrees. Food: the Asian pork was great, it was tangy, sweet and tender. The cucumber that came with it was a nice pickled tasted and paired well. The veggies were tender, had a decent butter flavor. The steak was bland, didn't have taste or flavor, 1 wasn't cooked as asked. It had a roast type taste. The potatoes wasnt garlic mashed but tasteless. The jalapeno chicken tasted like sweet and sour chicken. I would say the best thing we ordered was the veggies. Won't return

We’ve been here three times: twice for dinner on Friday nights and once for brunch. Drinks: The cocktail menu is large but mostly pear-based...if you don’t like pears then beware. I had a prickly pear martini that was gross but the other cocktails were pretty good. Skip the unlimited mimosas for brunch because they’re 99% orange juice 🙄 Food: everything we have had has been good. The menu is fairly large so lots of options. The waffles in the chicken and waffles have bacon bits in the batter which is a nice surprise. The risotto was similarly delicious. We also had he chocolate lava cake which was lovely. It’s a small place and can get very loud if there’s a large table. We were there once with a birthday party and it was so noisy we couldn’t hear each other speak. Otherwise a great local option.

I have dinned at Pear Street Bistro several times.

I considered it one of my favorites. However, I took my wife there on Mother’s Day. When I made the reservation, I asked about the bottomless mimosas. I was told that they would be surfing.

However, when we arrived and placed our drink order, I was told that we could not order the bottomless mimosas that were advertised online and throughout the restaurant.

The manager said because it’s a holiday and they were afraid people would drink too much and get drunk.

I explained that I was offended. And that I thought it was illegal to advertise something and did not offer to the customer.

She stated that their policy is to not serve the bottomless mimosas during their brunch on any holidays.

I asked if this had been advertised that they don’t serve the bottomless mimosas. She responded by saying this is their policy.

I explained that when I called to make my reservation specifically ask about the bottomless mimosa we were told that they would be serving them

I’m not sure how I feel about my service today at pea Street bistro

I am afraid to complain because recently I saw a news article where students the local high school made racist comments directed at Asia Pacific Islander students during a baseball game.

I’m not sure if we were denied the bottomless mimosas because we are black but the whole vibe made me very uncomfortable. My tip reflected that..

I do not recommend hair Street bistro. I do plan to follow up and see if it’s illegal to falsely advertise special then deny...

I honestly want to share my piece on a specific employee “so call manager” I always come here and I come here often then not her name is Samera. I had a discrepancy with my tab and she approached my table literally asked me if I wanted to take 2 waffles out of the tray due to me ordering a happy hour chicken and waffles and being charge for the full price. Since I told her o wasn’t taking two waffles out because it seemed absurd she proceeded to take my tray where I had consolidated my chicken and waffles and my left over chicken wings.

This girl has to be the rudest so call manger ever and doesn’t know customer service. I have worked customer service for over 20yrs and would never approach or speak to people the way she did. She did remove it off my tab but that wasn’t what I was asking I told her I wanted to be charged for what I had order and she literally took my whole tray back and just brought me my tab.

I mean business wise I could really knit pick other things she should really be worried about like maintaining the bathrooms sanitary to where you don’t feel disgusted about stepping on the floor but instead she wants to act like people are trying to get over on her which I wasn’t, all I asked was to be charged accurately.

Samera really needs an attitude adjustment and shouldn’t be acting like of I am not a male flirting with her then she has to treat me as if I am trying to get over which wasn’t the case. Today was the worst experience after dealing with her that I have ever encountered on the years I have...
