A Hidden Gem for Outdoor Enthusiasts!

If you're looking for a scenic and invigorating outdoor experience in the East Bay, this trail is a must! My new obsession this year is all about health and wellness, and spending time outdoors has been a game-changer. This trail offers everything you need—fresh air, plenty of sunshine for that much-needed vitamin D, and a workout that will challenge you in the best way.

The views are absolutely stunning, with breathtaking sights of the water and surrounding nature that make every step worthwhile. Plus, there's plenty of parking, making it an easy and accessible option for anyone looking to get outside and move. Whether you're hiking, jogging, or just enjoying a leisurely walk, this spot is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle....

Be careful of irresponsible dog owners letting their dogs off leash. They almost never have any control of their dogs. I have seen dogs 200 feet from owners . Dogs ignored owners attempts to call them back. Restroom door locks don't work and faucets in restroom don't work. Restrooms automatically lock at 6pm. Parking is very limited perhaps 16 parking spaces. Only one trash container frequently overflowing. No place to put dog waste if it was picked up. There are...

I'm not sure I want to review Bayfront park. It's a lovely place, But if everybody went there all at once, That would spoil it. This world is a lovely place, But anywhere that the loveliness of the place attracts too many human's becomes less lovely. You may like to go to this particular lovely place, But if not, There are a lot of lovely places on earth that might appeal to you. That may sound strange, But if you think about it you'll recognize...

A hidden gem just a few minutes from Pinole and Hercules. Will be even better when they complete the pedestrian bridge connecting the Bay Trail over the RR. Update Dec 2020: Pedestrian bridge was completed last year and the walk and views are spectacular. Great workout going up and down the path as it follows the shore. Can get a bit busy for social distancing at peak times, but usually plenty of space and people are thoughtful and wear masks if needed.

Great trail for walking, running or bike riding, with amazing views along the SF Bay. This trail has been under development for years. The state's goal is to have it connected all around the bay. This section is in the Pinole/Hercules area. Most of the trail is paved over. Some of it is uneven which can make running a bit more difficult. There are always people on this trail, but some days are busier than others.

Great little park with nice walk along the bay. Paved trails, the bridge has gorgeous views and is very friendly for all (walkers, bikers, skaters, wheelchairs, kids etc ) Lots of birds and there's an area for kids to pick up a shells. The Amtrak also passes through here. There are about 20 parking spaces and you can park on the street if they are full. Lots of benches with views and a couple of picnic tables.
