Could do with some maintenance and care in their flowered areas, and more consistent bathroom and garbage management... While people in Pinole are generally clean and well minded to throw things away and keep after themselves, there sometimes can be quite a bit of garbage found blown into the creek which needs cleaning to prevent outwash into the bay and wetland region downstream. The grass could use fertilizer and more water, (the city could do more for this rather than sending those resources into the parks located in Pinole Valley which are located in higher income areas). Awesome place to go Pokémon hunting, and to take the kids if you want to have a day at the playground. Or have a BBQ, or play horseshoes or basketball. The Baseball field is...okay...the outfield needs some work to regrade and fill holes etc. Infield is pretty nice for a public park baseball field. (pinole valley park is better though being one of those parks being paid attention to). That said, this is the central park of pinole with the main area for community gatherings being located here. You can find numerous community events here every year, with the small shopping center above the park being quite busy with numerous businesses like restaurants and barber shops, a liquor store and a boba shop located within a single minutes walking distance from the park proper.

Has: 1) a creek that seems to be long enough for serious runners, but enough for a short (read: lazy) walk. One side more lights than the other; 2) a well maintenanced basketball court and a serviceable softball field; 3) gym equipment with weights... yes, WEIGHTS; 4) picnic tables and seats, playgrounds, BBQ pits; 5) is by restaurants, beverage/snack store, clothes shopping, haircut, and more. Ice cream for $3 at Growlers Hot Dog (like 10 flavors) ....all in a .2 mile radius (yes it's a decimal). Where and how do you beat this place for convenience?

Attend the national night out Halloween First time attending the event and brought my little one with stroller. Normally would be great but with so many in attendance I was trying not to use my stroller and hit others. I was told there was a haunted house for the first time, we didn't view this due to a 15 month old and a long line. Everyone was very friendly, and nice. I can't wait to do this again with my little one. Thank you Pinole for the fun event and all who attended and worked it!

This is a very cute local park. It surprisingly large though. They have a playground area for kids to play in and also space for barbequing. The local schools also have events here, so you might catch a band playing. The shops next to it are also all local businesses (except Quickly). It feels good to support them. I highly recommend the new bakery Sweet Pipers, but this isn't a review about them. The park itself is also connected to a baseball field so you can watch or play baseball. Do note that while dogs are allowed in the main area of the park, they are not allowed in the baseball area. it can be a little bit difficult to find parking here if there is an event going on, but usually I park at the shopping area, or in the park's...

Extremely well managed park next to a cute old-town shopping center and community center with playhouse and youth services. Toddler and kids play spaces with structures. Small grass field with a permanent stage at one end. Several picnic tables and a couple BBQ grills. Baseball/softball diamond and full basketball court recently resurfaced with lights for evening play. Park sits at a trail head leading down to the Pinole shoreline which is also paved, beautiful and well lit at night. A real gem!

Only slight downside is restroom upkeep. There are four permanent, lockable unisex restrooms with lights but supplies can be scarce.

Local senior center...
