Quirky restaurant with very friendly staff and good food. The potstickers were great as was the crispy calamari that came with 5 sauces. The New York steak had great flavor and with the optional au gratin potatoes was very nice. The prime rib was tender and the horseradish sauce potent. Little more crust would have been better but it was still very tasty. The crem brulee was done right with a nice crisp sugar top. This restaurant is a converted house with limited seating and hours. That also have a somewhat limited menu but what they do have they do well. This was a completely different dining experience for me and something about it just felt like home. The meals were absolutely delicious as you can see from my photos. The place looked like a house. I felt like I was inside of someone's home eating a meal. The service was also incredible. At every opportunity our waters and sodas were filled, never seen anything like it. Read moreOur extended family gets together, usually on Sunday evening, to have a meal together. This week, we were a party of ten. Pinole Creek can handle larger sized groups with no strain.
The menu is diverse,on the ala carte side except for the vegetables which are usually creamed mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. There are menu selections that include just one or neither of these.
The owners (one of whom is the chef) and staff are friendly and polite.
Parking is available in the lot behind the restaurant. There is a ramp leading from the lot to the restaraunt.
