On 9-24, late in the evening, I ordered a pizza from Beepo's. (I've been a long time customer, and have spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars at this establishment.) When I received my pizza, the pizza had been dropped. I called and they said they would replace the pizza. They said to give them the damaged pizza when the driver got there. Seeings it had been over an hour at that point, I decide to go get it to save time. Upon arriving they inspected the pizza, and said mine would be done shortly. I asked that since I picked the pizza up, if I merely could get the non delivery rate. After the manager was consulted (not speaking to me in person) they said they would simply not charge the delivery rate. Since I am a mid night shifter, during the late night hours of the 9-26, I saw my account was pending debited the delivery amount not including the tip (which I found suspicious). I called the first time and they said they would give me in store credit. I told them that was not acceptable, and I wanted my account credited. They said they would have to speak to a manager. While I was holding, my cell phone got disconnected. (This happens commonly where I live do to AT&T tower service). When I called back I asked for the manager again (Erika). While speaking with her it was obvious that she did not take my concerns seriously. She said while the charge was "pending" the one charge would show, but the other charge would go through correctly, because the lesser amount had been ran by them, and not the higher amount. Erika blamed it on my bank, and said I would have to work it out with them. I did terminate that call, cause I was getting no where with her. I then called my bank, and they confirmed the higher amount was processed, and posted. I called back to speak to Erika, about her mis-information. At this point I've tied up; including delivery, going back to the store, calling, and waiting, 2 hours in this Beppo created issue. When I spoke with Erika she, again, minimalized the issue and said she could give me the $2.00 back. Erika also said that I should have addressed this issue sooner. (Not sure how that would have been possible since the charge was still pending from less than 48 hours from the incident.) I told her that I was going to order $400 from there business, this very weekend, for my wedding and I didn't appreciate how I was being treated, and her tone regarding my run around. Erika said it was only $2.00, and thought "I" was being unreasonable. She then said since I hung up on her "3 TIMES" that she was ending the call and hung up on me.
I was going to order $400.00 worth of food for my wedding at Greene Street church on 9-30. The way I was treated regarding this issue, I am going to change catering venues, 4 days before my wedding, and I will never eat Beepo's food again. I will also tell everyone I meet about the way I was treated, and how this was handled. I have family in Piqua, and will ensure they pass this experience on.
Shame on you...
Read moreWe had been looking forward to trying this restaurant. We didn't realize it would be so packed when we arrived. We were told our wait time would be approximately 35 minutes. We waited in the bar area, which actually is 3 stools at a counter in a carry out area of the restaurant. But a cool feature is that you can see the many cooks preparing food through a glass pane in the kitchen area. We were pleasantly surprised when they called someone's name prior to ours and found they must have left, which allowed us to bump ahead making our actual wait time around 15-20 minutes. We had been told that everything on the menu is terrific and you can't go wrong with whatever we choose. They are known for their pizza and the menu is true to authentic Italian fare and had many choices which made it hard to choose. We eventually chose the Rigatoni with spicy sausage and the new Ravioli Fiorentina with added mushrooms and 2 ceasar salads. Even though the restaurant was packed, our waitress was very attentive, bringing water and giving us time to look over the menu. My husband ordered a glass of wine (had mine from the "bar") and she brought it back fairly quick. The food was absolutely wonderful! I can not say enough about my ravioli (especially the sauce) except to say that I have declared it the best I have tried so far. My husband was very impressed and enjoyed his Rigatoni also. However, the ceasar salad was very bland and not at all as expected. At this point the restaurant was starting to thin and was not consistently packed and that is where the service unexpectedly went down hill. We were winding down our meal and couldn't find our server. When she finally came we asked for one more glass of wine (to split) with our food. Then waited and waited for her...We finished what we could of our meal and still no wine. By the time she came back about 15 minutes later, we also asked for the check. So we sat there drinking the wine that we had wanted with our food instead. It took her another 15 minutes to bring the check. The restaurant was less than half full at this time. We finished a split glass of wine before she even came back to us to collect payment. In summary -- My pros: Terrific food, wonderful dining atmosphere, attentive waitress initially. My cons: Ceasar salad not very good, didn't care for rolled silverware wrapped in a paper napkin (their upscale food should reflect their flatware with real fabric napkins), the attentiveness of the waitstaff as the...
Read moreSo looking forward to going here for the first time along with my daughter to celebrate her Birthday, this is where she wanted to go, my 87 year old parents went with us as well, there was a total of six of us. We get there at 5:50 and they were busy but the hostess said twenty minutes, no problem. Forty minutes later still waiting patiently until a young family (group of 7 walk in and are seated within 10 minutes of standing there) I approach the hostess and asked her, did they have a reservation or something and proceeds to tell me no, so I ask why did they get seated while we are still standing here 45 minutes later, my elderly parents and all... she had no real response except that it sometimes works out that way.. what does that even mean??? We finally get seated by the bathrooms and the kitchen door, knats flying around everywhere. It took our waitress to approach the table umm maybe five to ten minutes, at this point we were ready to just order. Took twenty minutes just for our appetizers which was bread and dips. In a nutshell I was very disappointed as was my parents. When she came to ask if we wanted dessert I spoke out to my daughter to see if she would like something for her Birthday and the waitress did not even acknowledge , oh today is your Birthday, Happy Birthday! And no we were not expecting free dessert (not my style) It was just a bummer the service was so bad. We were there for...
