Update 3/23/25 I have added pictures as once again they are cooking food over a wood burning pit that they are burning scrap wood on
UPDATE After seeing that I updated my review and have no interest in being bought they responded confirming what I said is/was true and are attempting to save face by now saying it wasn’t food waste which it was and they have ended in practice that’s up to you to believe (I’ve included screenshot incase it gets changed) Ride past on Monday you’ll see Witt (they do good work) Update After seeing my review one of the owners Sarvar Abdurashidov Texted me offering to pay me to remove my review on top of attempting to be demeaning Will update with screenshots. This review is 100% true I’ve went to Sarvar on many occasions as I own the two buildings on either side and have to deal with the pest as well along with other home and property owners in the area. ironically this stems from me asking Sarvar to repay me for about 20 garbage cans that were stolen by him and his people off of my property and the frustration reminded people don’t know this was not some once in a while thing
They are closed on Mondays in order to fight off the rodents and pest that persist because the dumpster out back is too small so it overflows regularly and they produce so much trash with nowhere to put it so they resort to storing large amounts of trash in the back yard but have been reported so many times they store it in the basements of 410 and 412 photos are just of one instance of the trash in the yard and the photo of the trash on the street is of an instance where it was all stored in the basement they would put out such large amounts of trash for city pickup and when the city stopped taking it the resorted to storing it in the basement and we aren’t talking about overnight storage we are talking rancid food waste also that little stove in the yard they have cooked food such as sautéing peppers and vegetables over old scrap wood (some having remnants of old paint) that use to be in the yard
This is a ongoing thing so much that they built a fence to attempt me from getting pictures...
Read moreDining at Chaykhana in Pittsburgh was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we walked in, the warm smiles of the staff set the tone for an evening of unparalleled hospitality. The team — two young men and two young women — were absolutely incredible. They radiated friendliness, professionalism, and genuine passion for what they do. Each one made us feel like treasured guests, going above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of perfect.
And the food? Oh, the food was a celebration of flavors that transported us straight to Central Asia! The Beshbarmak was a revelation — tender, succulent meat layered with silky noodles and infused with the most delightful, hearty flavors. The Qazan Kabab was another highlight, with its juicy, perfectly seasoned meat and roasted potatoes cooked to perfection. The Cheburek was golden, crispy, and stuffed with a savory filling that melted in my mouth.
Of course, the Uzbek Plov was unforgettable — fragrant, comforting, and loaded with flavor, it’s the kind of dish that keeps you coming back for more. The freshly baked bread was warm and fluffy, perfect for pairing with everything on the table. The Fried Lagman, with its slightly crisped noodles and bold seasoning, was a unique and delicious twist on a classic.
And we can’t forget the Kompot! This traditional drink was refreshing and lightly sweet, the perfect complement to the richness of the meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant itself is a gem — cozy yet elegant, with an inviting charm that makes you want to linger long after your meal is done. Every detail, from the beautifully set tables to the vibrant yet calming décor, shows how much care has been put into creating a top-tier dining experience.

Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of dining at Chaykhana in Pittsburgh, and I must say, it was a culinary experience like no other. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a delightful evening. The décor is beautifully done, creating an ambiance that feels both elegant and cozy, perfect for an intimate dinner or a gathering with friends.
Now, onto the food — what a treat! The Uzbek Plov was a standout, with its fragrant spices, perfectly cooked rice, and tender pieces of meat. It was rich, flavorful, and truly authentic, a dish that embodies the heart and soul of Uzbek cuisine. The Uzbek Style Lamb Shank was another masterpiece. The lamb was so tender it practically fell off the bone, and the seasoning was spot on, making every bite a joy. The Beef Samsa was the perfect appetizer — flaky, golden pastry filled with savory, well-seasoned beef that left us wanting more.
