Last time we came, we fell in love with this place so I went for b-day dinner. Last night, we saw a different place completely. First, they bring us pitchers of water with no cups. We wait and wait, I go ask if we can put in our order and drinks. He says he's not the waiter but there's no one else there to help us. But then in 5min he changed his mind I guess and took our order. I asked for cups to go with the water jugs and we got tiny, mouthwash-sized plastic cups. So weird. He took our order and then informed us AFTER that everything we ordered isn't the price on the menu but higher, because they gave us old menus. Huh??? What are the prices then??? We asked him if we could order drinks now and he was super confused like this was the first time he had ever waited tables. Our drinks came out all wrong of course. Food then came out and it was OK. Not nearly as good as last time. But they tried to short us on the rice and the appetizers were cold and weird. I asked for mint chutney and they rolled their eyes and brought us a to-go sized plastic container of it. Just really strange, like the water cups. The curries also came with no serving spoons. Totally bizarre for an Indian restaurant. I asked for some and again they rolled their eyes. After we got our food we NEVER SAW THE WAITER AGAIN. Like not even to get paid??? This guy was totally preoccupied with the dozens of Uber eats drivers coming in and waiting but he didn't care about us at all after the food was brought. Did not refill drinks, did not ask us how it was, did not say thank you, NOTHING. Then proceeded to give themselves a decent mandatory tip. Loved it last time, but something changed and I'm never...
Read moreI ordered take out on Friday 07/12/24 for total 4 items. 1) chicken biryani( medium spicy) 2) chicken Sheeekh kabab 3) garlic and butter naan 4) chicken curry ( medium spicy) .
Chicken sheekh kabab: The worst state I had ever. Just powdery , dried and felt like heated up old left overs and complete disaster. I still didn’t even touch it. Pic attached.
Chicken Curry: They made it so spicy even after adding 4 potatoes and one tomato, 3 tablespoons ghee and one quarter butter it still very hot and spicy. I am from south India and I eat medium spicy food but it is no close to medium and made with red hot chilli and my family didn’t even touch it who are born here.
Chicken Biryani: The same with chicken biryani it didn’t taste like anything and the chicken is so hard and could be from old leftovers. I mixed one part of biryani with 2 parts of rice and some ghee and butter it still spicy. I don’t understand the their concept of medium spicy.
Naan: I ordered 3 naan 2 garlic naan and 1 butter naan. I added pics. A little bit burnt and made in tandoori oven actually nice but they made it on pan and burned to death. Pictures added.
I drive weekends to downtown Green tree restaurant to get good quality of food. This food disappointed me and my family. I always give tip even for takeout orders atleast 10%. It used to provide nice quality before but not anymore. And the surroundings of the restaurant are also not very clean .They should adhere to some kind of cleanliness . I always wanted restaurants like this to stay who had good history and should maintain the consistency in their food and should take the job and...
Read moreOne of the worst experience I have ever had in this locality. There are too many problems mainly with this Indian restaurant first. Firstly their staffs talk way too much which shows their level of ignorance. For instance, I ordered cut mirchi- appetizer which is pretty popular everywhere known for rainy day delight. It is commonly served with dips on the side. Some restaurants may not serve it with a dip which is totally fine. But the problem is when you try to politely inquire about this to the staff. They instantly respond with callous and baseless attitude. I let this slide too because they are all bunch of young people/new hires needs better training.
Secondly and the most hurtful thing is when their manager/owner also responds in a similar way. Now when you politely address your issues, the owner becomes too assertive and overly confident about his meal preparation and goes to a level that indirectly implies this is what we have and you have to eat it. Without even further investigating into the issue, the owner stands so rigid to his ground and doesn't even wants to give customer a sense of comfort that the issue will be investigated and if there's really an issue will be resolved appropriately. For instance, I have been non meat eater since my birth and I can clearly tell if the food is prepared or cooked in the same oil which is used for meat. Even if I were wrong, I had my partner with me who is a meat eater, also acknowledged that it's contaminated with meat oil. Let alone the resolution for problems, these guys are not even regretful implies hell with customers polite and humble feedback. We...
