I'm an admitted pizzaholic. East Side is the best pizza I've ever had. Started in 1982. Now if I want East Side I drive 200 miles for it. From '82 till 2005 I was there once a week for 48 out of 52 weeks in a year. Any year. Ann and Laurie are the sweetest, kindest waitresses and family members. Read more"Cafe" is quite a stretch. This is a neighborhood bar that also has some booths for dining. However, the hours during which they serve food are very limited, compared to the hours they are open. We went on a Saturday evening. There was only one food option: pizza. You could not order any other food. The pizza was pretty good, but not special. The largest pizza you can order is a 12-inch. It's very loud due to the bar patrons. BEST PIZZA IN THE BERKSHIRES, PERHAPS THE STATE, PERHAPS NEW ENGLAND. This is legit Italian New York pizza. Unpretentious. Real. Heavenly delicious. I think they make it in a brick oven (coal fired?) - whatever it is, you can tell in the taste and it tastes perfect.
