Made my first trip to The New Pittston Diner today. I’m not sure why I haven’t stopped before considering I live close by.. but for thé past few years I’ve been meaning to stop- I swear - today I made a promise I’d stop by after my ALDIs trip- I also made a vow to myself to try one new place a week -every week thru 2023 Whether it’s a bar bakery cafe or eatery. Today I tried the New Pittston Diner- being facebook friends with Syd for quite some time,I needed to stop in and say hi. Since it was lunchtime I grabbed a bowl of French onion soup, a Cobb salad and the Italian wrap( boxed up half the salad and the Italian wrap since alot of you think I eat everything I photograph at once 🥴.) let me tell you this; the French onion soup IS OUT OF THE WORLD. 2 thumbs up and I’d give 4 if I had extra. The cheese pull was on point, the flavor and texture were just to my liking and it’s easy to take a great photo when the presentation has passion and integrity in it. Next I had the Cobb salad as big as my head and what I loved about it was the fresh mushrooms and I gradients - no canned mushrooms- I ate half of it as I am fasting 16 hours a day and I can eat between 2-10pm I wasn’t very hungry after filling up on water and the f.o soup- and since I’m on day 7 of fasting my body is adjusting - I wanted to eat the entire salad but I needed to save some for dinner later and I WILL enjoy it; that I assure you. Finally the Italian wrap. The classic Lunch item that is big enough to share served with fries and cole slaw- the wrap is hearty filling and flavorful and the New Pittston Diner doesn’t skimp out on their home made food to say the least; plan to come HUNGRY, and if you aren’t, you will be. Syd wanted me to try the pickle Bites OMG so good and just enough dill where it’s not over powering -Sadly I didn’t get to try dessert but I will on my next stop. I loved the nostalgia of the diner and If you know me, you know I love the huge Marilyn Monroe framed photo hanging in the entrance. The New Pittston diner is a quiet clean laid back environment with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Probably the most friendly and attentive staff I’ve seen in a long time . I highly recommend if you are looking for a place to eat breakfast lunch or dinner. Open 7 days a week- Sunday / Monday 8a-2p, Tues-Sat 8am-7pm and free delivery...

We didn't eat here I was looking for all day breakfast google does not listen the best lol that and you can't read while driving. In the comments and reviews it says doesn't do breakfast all day stops serving at 11 am. We left promptly after and only got a pepsi. I have mixed feelings about our short visit here.

I asked if they served breakfast all day cause I had what looked like a normal everyday menu and no breakfast was on it. I asked cause normally you would be given a separate menu in the event they rather push meals after breakfast I get it I am the only child of a waitress working as a single mother and have worked in food and beverage for a long while also. Instead of no I am sorry we don't one woman stated (a bit condescending) no it is dinner!

Ok when did it become a crime to have breakfast for a meal not associated with the morning 🤔? Some folks are on crazy schedules these days, I work nights and over nights so if I want breakfast at dinner that is apt. Hubby then asks where can we do breakfast all day, we get mixed responses one stated I don't know where they serve breakfast all day. As I was politely typing it in google search I was hearing slander of other places and I am sorry I wanted comfort food for breakfast 😅 at this point. I stated there are six places near by that serve all day more slander, we asked for a check in the mean time and one woman was apologetic for not serving breakfast all day meekly. No worries I asked the hubby to find breakfast he tried it was his error I would never take it out on a server.

I will probably go back there cause it did seem like a nice establishment other than my...

To start, the servers are awesome. I saw a gentleman handling this absolute troglodyte of a customer who acted out over a waitress not wanting them to sit at a dirty table so she would have an easier time cleaning it off for them, as they had seated themselves without permission. Secondly, the food is great, it's priced cheap and super flavorful. The berry french toast with marscapone was killer. Eggs Benedict? Can't go wrong here. To top it off, they had this Cowboy Slammy special today and it was honest to god one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The swiss cheese with slivers of prime rib, mushrooms, egg, and perfectly soft yet toasted brioche bun was mouth watering. I almost asked for extra drippings because it was so flavorful and good. Thank you to the cook who decided to even bring that in as a special, who executed it perfectly, and made me eager to come back for more....

Our family loves to try diners, but sometimes they can be a hit or miss! Well, Pittston Diner was a bit hit! We were seated immediately, and the wait staff was exceptional! (Not just our waitress- we could see the others, all with smiles and lotsa hustle too!) The Greek Omelet, not only looked great but tasted great too! And the Special with sausage patties and gravy sausage on top was so good they ran out of Croissants, but was so good on a bagel, that I can't wait to go back and try it on a croissant! The sausage wasn't grisly like in some restaurants. And the Caprese potatoes with onions and peppers were cooked perfectly- not overdone at all but nice and soft. This place is definitely worth a stop if you love breakfast!
