The only consistency with this restaurant is the fact that they are constantly inconsistent. You truly never know what you're going to get when coming here/ordering from here.

They pretty much always tell you that it will be at least 45 minutes for delivery no matter what you order. I do have to admit, though, that they take less time now than they used to. They used to say 45 minutes to an hour, and it would definitely be AT LEAST that long, if not longer. Now when they say 45 minutes, it's usually at my house in about 30.

I never really know what the quality of my pizza is going to be.

First of all, it's almost always cold by the time it gets to me when I order delivery, and I live literally 5 minutes away from the restaurant.

Second of all, the quality of the pizza itself is ALWAYS inconsistent. Most of the time when I order, I open the box, and there's so much cheese on it that I can't even tell if they actually put sauce on it or not. And the soupiness of the cheese looks disgusting. It literally looks like someone ordered extra, extra cheese, and then the delivery driver decided to take the box with the pizza in it and play catch with it with someone. Anyone who has had delivery from here before should know what I'm talking about.

They put sooo much cheese on it now that I usually end up ordering extra sauce to make up the difference, and they don't even get that right. When I order my extra sauce to off- set the cheese, it either comes with no extra sauce at all, or there is so much extra sauce that the pizza is even soupier and super soggy.

I only order from here every couple of months now, giving them the benefit of the doubt, hoping that it will be of a better quality and a different experience, but it never is. The only reason that I still try with this place every- so- often is because they used to be EXCELLENT when I was younger, and I keep hoping that something will change, and they will get back to how they used to be, but they never do.

If you're still considering getting food from this establishment, I do recommend actually going there to eat instead of delivery. The food is usually a lot better quality when you're eating there as opposed to when you get it delivered, or order for take- out.

I also recommend that this restaurant hire people that actually want jobs and will do their job. There used to be a couple of quality waitresses working there, but the last time I was there, I only saw one of them, and I, unfortunately, didn't have her that day for my table. I assume that the other good waitresses either left on their own, or were let go by new owners/management.

I also have to mention that I HATE calling to order because you never know who you're going to get. There is one woman who I have had a couple of times when ordering that is so, so nice. I always hope to get her on the phone, but that's not always the case. Every other person that I get on the phone besides this woman is TERRIBLE. They are rude. They are short with you. They don't listen. I have been put on hold and then hung up on. I have been put on hold, and then they just never came back. I even had them put me on hold one time where I heard the girl finish up the order with the customer on the other phone, then heard her have a conversation with a co- worker for 10 minutes, and she never came back to me, so I hung up.

They need to hire quality people. I honestly think that that is half the problem. They have people that don't care about their jobs, or about what they're doing, or about how it affects their customers and the restaurant. They don't care about the service, or about the quality of the food. That's just one of the MANY reasons why this place has gone so downhill.

The last thing that I will leave you with is the prices. Their prices are TOO HIGH. $13.75 for a tray of pizza that is anywhere from OK to POOR quality is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I have no problem paying $13.75 for QUALITY pizza, but Savo's almost always isn't. Either bring DOWN your prices, or UP your quality....

RUN the other way. The service. Who is the captain of the miserable team waiting on tables and answering the phone? The service is just so consistently bad It’s not worth eating there. it doesn’t matter if you call for take out or sit at a table (when she allows you). It’s not that she is having a bad night, I thought that the first time we went. She had maybe three tables and answered the phone. I thought maybe the other worker called in sick So I wasn’t phased. She had ZERO urgency to help anyone. Ignores the customers and has one speed. Second time we ordered take out. she put us on old for 15 minutes only to hang up on me when I asked her if she was ok when she finally came back to the phone to take our order. I really thought something happen to her because she had the phone down, not on hold. Now I’m guessing so she didn’t have to take another order on the phone while I tied up the line. The final time we walk in at 725. She looks at us and says “oh, we are closed.” I said your sign in the front says closes at 8. She said “not the dinning room, it closes at 730 but you can get take out.”. lol. honey, it’s six booths, some tables and a cash register like a convenient store, let’s not get carried away calling it a dining room. So the kitchen is still serving, just not her. Three times with this women and now I’m done, I don’t care how good the pizza is. Its sad because the pizza is actually tasty but if the front of the house is the hottest mess of a dumpster fire I have ever seen in a server, she makes the entire place look like a dumpster fire and have to wonder what really is going on with this place. It’s not a business. It’s not a resturant. It’s just a hot waste of my time. Go to another place who are happy to have...

To quote Shakespeare: "Hell is empty, and all the devils are here." Omg... Talk about a total slap in the face. I went there in 2014 after visiting Claws & Paws. We ORIGINALLY were supposed to go to Sabatinis, but for whatever reason, we went to this place instead. God knows WHAT my mother and brother were thinking. When we went inside, it was EMPTY, Not a single soul in that place other than the workers. But thats neither here nor there. We sat down, The server brought our drinks, and we ordered. I made the smart move and ordered chicken fingers and fries. I can't say the same for my mother & brother. They ordered the pizza. So a few minutes go by and the server bring me my food. It didn't taste bad. Actually it was good! That was the only positive experience during our visit, unfortunately. Then the pizza came... The pizza smelled fine... It didn't look fine however. It looked as though it were dead for 189 years. The cheese was slimy and the sauce... Imagine the worst tomato/pizza sauce ever made, but 10 times worse than that. That pizza remains the ONLY pizza my brother wouldn't eat... and he will eat ANY pizza in The Valley. My mother was NOT happy. She refused any coupons from the server. She paid for what we ate and we left. We haven't been back since in the 3 or so years since we went there. If you're in the Pittston area,or in The Valley in general,DON'T go to Savo's. Your tastebuds will thank you later. I recommend Happy Pizza in Plymouth or Sabatinis in Exeter. They are pretty far, depending where your at, but they are worth the trip. If people say that Old Forge pizza has lost its touch, Savo's is the restaurant to prove they are right. But if you like your pizza as disgusting as possible, then this...
