I had been looking for Nepalese cuisine near me for some time since trying it for the first time overseas; this was our first time ordering from Everest, and my husbands first experience with Himalayan style Indian food. Absolutely delicious!! Family style ordering, we got the chicken tikka skewer, regular and garlic naan, the house special chicken chow min, soup, and basmati rice. Chicken tikka had plenty of sauce, onion and bell pepper, basmati rice (generous serving, you will have extra!) is lightly fragranced by maybe cardamom and clove? Chow min was packed with flavor, and my only regret was not getting more naan!
It looks like they normally operate with a buffet in house, so I’m looking forward to trying that once it’s safe to have buffets again.
MY TIP: Give yourself about an hour ahead of time to order food during the dinner rush, order online if you can so you can just grab your food and go, and don’t be like the guy that came in, saw other people waiting ahead of him, and kept poking his head in the kitchen where it doesn’t belong—the food is well worth the wait, and staff was working their butts off! The kind gal running the front of house even threw in a mixed-fried vegetable side since they were busy, which was also delicious, and we ate on the way home.
All in all, delicious, hearty, and filling—will...
Read morelet me just start by saying that this place ROCKS! My friend and I were just driving by Hungry and decided to stop after seeing the place and reading the reviews online. The super nice lady at the front said that they just started serving outdoor from this morning and even helped us through the menu and their must try best dishes. The lady's hospitality and warm smile convinced us to stay and we ended up sitting outdoor and eating. My friend and I ordered, Himalayan MOMO (10/10), Garlic Naan (10/10), Lamb Tikka Masala (10/10) and Garlic Tofu (10/10). It also came with a side of rice. Everything was spot on. Their portions are also really good size for the money. They serve Incredibly delicious food and I loved their family like service! They literally treated us like a family. Even though this was our first time, we felt at home and won't be our last time. Definitely one of the best Himalayan food in the area. Everyone here is extremely attentive and helpful. We can't wait to come back already with more friends now that they have outdoor seats open. I really love supporting small local businesses and I want this place to succeed. Give this place a try. They're very accommodating with your requests. this...
Read moreOk, so I'm a Brit. We love our Indian food! I adore chicken Jalfriezi. We've never ordered from here before, I saw Jalfriezi so thought I'd give it a go. What I got was not Jalfriezi.. it had peas, green beans, big carrots, slices of ginger? Broccoli and cauliflower. It doesn't say that on the menu. I also think they put cous cous in to thicken it at some point! No onion. The chicken was brown meat, slimy and greasy, very very oily. It was not good. This is not how you make a Jalfriezi, I normally make my own but I wanted to order in. Mistake!
The base sauce in regards to taste was the correct flavor, the added vegetables were not. I did not order vegetarian; they need removing, onion, tomato and bell peppers only. Plus better chicken.
The chicken Tikka was not great, it was trying to be a korma. The popadoms don't need to be spicy. Plain is way better, they were also stale. Needless to say this caused a severe stomach upset. I won't be back I'm afraid. The search for a fab Indian...
