Repose Coffee — Restaurant in Placentia

I have gone to Brew Story in Huntington Beach, Little Ox in Fullerton, Rê Cà Phê in Fountain Valley, DAMO in Los Angeles, and many more coffee shops for reference. A while back I did order an iced strawberry mocha and a vanilla iced matcha from Repose. I did remember that the drinks were good so I was in the area and decided to try the iced blueberry matcha with almond milk. I have tried blueberry matcha drinks and I enjoy when you can taste the matcha and the housemade fresh blueberry syrup. The blueberry puree overpowered the taste of the matcha and the drink tasted a little too much like fruity pebbles. It was also a tad bit sweet. I did say that I did not like the drink and if I could just exchange it for an iced matcha with vanilla. The employee said they could only remake the same drink or put vanilla into the same drink that I did not like when I did clarify that it was the blueberry I did not like. They said that I would have to purchase another drink according to the policy placed by the boss. I ended up asking for a refund so I can leave and can just go elsewhere. The employee said they would only exchange the drink if they made a mistake and they said that the drink was basically made with no mistakes. They also said that they could not do a refund so I asked for the manager. The employee said she would text the boss and they then came up to me and said they would only make the drink I wanted “just for tonight”. I did arrive at 4:00pm and they close at 5:00pm and there was a few people at around 4:30pm and the employee was putting up chairs already so I am sure they did not want to make the time to remake another drink of choice. I did rate this place 2 stars because at least they did give me the vanilla iced matcha but you can just tell they did not want to...

Omg I came to a new aesthetic cafe that just opened in placentia. I never saw a pretty Korean inspired cafe like this before. I was so impressed by the interior and the beautiful wooden tones and white porcelain vase decorations. I got the ham and cheese croissant which was crispy and delicious . But the drinks that were soo good were the strawberry matcha latte , biscoff cream latte, cold foam matcha, and panache mocha. All the drinks were delicious and I enjoyed each of them so much!! The owner happened to be there and she was so kind to explain the popular drinks and tell me about her cafe!! I would definitely come back to stay and try the other pastries like kougiman. Randomly popped into Repose Coffee after visiting a friend (long drive from LA), and honestly? Best decision ever.

Pastry was fresh and tasty, but the matcha latte... next level. Smooth, deep, not too sweet — just crazy good. 💚

Grabbed an Americano for my long drive back to LA and, no joke, I said "Wow" after the first sip. Seriously good coffee, no weird bitterness, just clean and bold.

Folks in Placentia are lucky to have this new gem in the area. 💫 Definitely coming back — and dragging my matcha-loving daughter with me next time. 😂 If you're anywhere near Placentia, don’t sleep...
