Jan & Tony's Pizza — Restaurant in Plain City

I was looking for a new pizza and sub place near home but not with the hustle and bustle of in Dublin or CBus. And so I found this great place a nice short drive from Dublin. They have plenty of parking and it was very easy to get to. You order at the counter, where you walk in, and it can be busy as they do seem to have a strong take out following. There are menus on the counter so I am sure you can take one and go sit and return if needed.

So we ordered a small pepperoni, mushroom and onion pizza with extra sauce along with an Italian sub, a chef salad, a grilled chicken salad and a bottle of water from their Pepsi cooler (no fountain drinks). We then took a seat in the dining area that is very clean and nice. There is a TV for sports and such in the dining area. They brought the food out as things were ready, first the salads and they were in big deep bowls and very fresh. When the pizza and sub came out you can tell it was right out of the oven - no waiting to be brought to us. They do cheese on the toppings which is not my preference but their sauce was really good and made up for it. I also would prefer a little heavier application of the toppings but it was a very good pizza. And it is even good the next day, cold, right from the fridge!! The sub was also very good with the right thickness in the meats, although I may ask for it to be done a minute or two longer next time.

I will certainly be back as I have to try the meatball sub and I may ask for the cheese to be under the toppings on the next pizza; I am sure that they will oblige as they were so nice...

I would give zero stars if I could. The current owners have ran this place into the ground and they do not care about their employees at all. The food isn’t even fresh anymore and the beer is expired half the time. Our very beloved coworker passed away recently and the owners couldn’t even be bothered to close the doors for a day to let their employees grieve. They didn’t even have the courtesy to make a post or honor him, and immediately started posting they’re hiring a new manager, barely two hours after receiving the news that he had passed. Needless to say, we ALL quit. This place is a joke, they do not care about their employees, and they do not care about the community they provide services for. Don’t waste your time...

Food has gone downhill since changing owners and location. Pizza is still tasty but middle of dough is always loose and flimsy. Crust pieces are good. I also don't understand how they think they can get away charging me more for specials that are listed online and posted on a poster on their front window for 2 medium pizzas for $21.99 and then charge me $22.99. The guy said tax but in Ohio there is not tax on food for takeout only drinks and I didn't get any drinks. I pointed out out and still wouldn't give me the listed price. Very unhappy with this transaction and it might just be the last one for me. Hope this helps everyone. They just put a donatos out in front of the location. I guess I'll be visiting...
