As an over-the-road truck driver, finding a good donut shop is like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Well, Jack's Donuts in Plainfield, IN is that pot of gold! After a long haul that felt like I was auditioning for "Ice Road Truckers," I stumbled upon this sugary paradise.
The variety at Jack's Donuts is so vast, I thought I was in donut heaven. From classic glazed to maple bacon, they've got it all. I tried the apple fritter, and it was so good, I almost called my dispatcher to tell him I was quitting to become a professional donut eater. These donuts are fresh, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet – perfect for a quick pick-me-up before hitting the road again.
The staff at Jack's Donuts are as sweet as their treats. They welcomed me with a smile and even offered me a free coffee for the road. The service is faster than a trucker spotting a rest stop after 10 hours of driving. The shop is clean and cozy, making it a great spot to relax for a bit.
Now, let me tell you about that one load of donuts. I once had a delivery of donuts to a small town bakery. Everything was going smoothly until I hit a pothole the size of a small crater. The truck bounced, and I heard a thud from the back. When I checked, I found that a few boxes had toppled over, and donuts were everywhere. It looked like a donut apocalypse! I spent the next hour cleaning up and trying to salvage what I could. Thankfully, Jack's Donuts has ample parking space, so no need to worry about any donut disasters here!
And here's a joke for you: Why did the donut go to the dentist? Because it needed a filling! 😄
If you're ever in the area and need a delicious treat, Jack's Donuts is the place to be. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a happy...
Read moreI have been going to Jacks almost daily for 5 years for an Iced coffee with Mocha. Today I go to get one and the new staff member asked if I wanted milk in it. I found it odd, but said yes whole milk. Next thing I know she fills my cup with water and ice then concentrate. I let staff member ringing me up, hey I don't think she heard me say milk. She said yes I did, you cant have all concentrate, you have to mix with water. I said I know, I have never had water put in my coffee. I said its ice, the concentrate, milk and chocolate. She informed me everyone has been making it wrong for years. I said ok, understood but can you make it the way I like esp since every person that has ever worked here has made it that way for 5 years including their best employee ever Ms. Sue. I was told basically no. An other staff member chimed in as well saying maybe order iced latte. I said whatever I need to order in order to get what I like is fine with me. Needless to say I gave up arguing took the coffee, threw it away and will not walk down to get my staff the weekly donuts or coffee anymore. I will go elsewhere. Its sad as we are business buddies in the strip mall, and never in 5 years have I had someone not willing to even listen to a concern. I have always loved the staff there and have personal relationships with several and still check on old staff. So its sad to see that just listening to a customers concern or making it right and explaining how they should order given the "making it wrong for years" is the issue. Instead of dismissing a customer and having them pay for something they will...
Read moreThe donuts at Jack’s are as dry and flavorless as clearance rack grocery store donuts. There’s no glaze on them at all, so you’re left trying to choke down a dry donut with a minimal amount frosting smeared on the top. I’ve tried this place 3 times now out of convenience and have been disappointed with the donuts every time. I will make the drive to Rise n Roll from now on.
I placed an online order expecting it to be easier for myself and the employees to just zip through the drive-thru, get my order, and be on my way rather than ordering 6 different kinds of donuts at the speaker box. After waiting in the drive-thru for quite awhile (I was the only car), I was told they do not allow online orders to be picked up in the drive-thru and next time I would need to come in. It’s such a bizarre policy given that every other restaurant I can think of allows online orders to be picked up at the drive-thru with no issue (I do not work for a food delivery service- this was a personal order).
I will not return to any Jack’s location and would instead highly recommend a drive to Avon for Rise n...
