Ole Tyme Charley's Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Plains Township

I came back from Florida around May of 2015 spent most of my time in nursing homes locally then around 2017 was awarded my disability so got my own place so now in Florida I became a professional karaoke singer so as I'm up here living in Hanover Twp I was looking for a local karaoke bar well the best closest place was called Old Time Charlie's in Plains well that requires a cab back and forth and I'm permanently in a wheelchair for ever I go up the cab driver pulls in the parking lot and I said you have the wrong address this is Charlie Browns he get me out and explains the children took it over ok I'm expecting well..... don't judge a book by the cover I go in this awesome security guard ask me if I need help I said no I need beer and Karaoke she is awesome helped me out all night so I meet the bartenders also very awesome now I know this is a hopping place they get my order and told me to pick a table so I do place was packed later found out that's normal asked the waitress for a menu she immediately helped I talked to her a short bit asking about the older owner . Me and my 1st ex used to go there for Awesome steaks well now different so I ordered and the son of the old owner brings my dinner and we talked he's also awsome gave him my short story he said got to get back to work I understood said if I need anything mention his name and I'll get service well didn't need that staff are like family and don't let a drink go dry during or after dinner (Classy henna or no) .So entertainment starts with great music DJ in back bar Karaoke on main stage ok I'm in. Met the DJ Brandon Frash by the time I left I was in awe did not want to have a end for that night to this day I still go to Karaoke and I cannot stress enough about the staff and the entertainment they hire those children will be millionaire some day soon and I hope it goes down the tree to there children I give this place a 5 STAR rating if you live in the area or are in town visiting I recommend this...

I absolutely love Ole Tyme Charley's Restaurant & Pub in Plains. They’re Chicken Fajita Quesadillas are my favorite! Grilled tortilla stuffed with diced grilled chicken, cheese, sautéed onions, sweet peppers and diced jalapeños, served with salsa and sour cream. The Smoked Wings are also amazing. I’m usually a wing bite type of gal but I tried these and Holy Schnikes!!!! Just eating them plain without any sauce was like heaven in my mouth! Add a side of spinach ranch to dip them in, and you’re golden! Yum . The Spicy Ranch Boneless Bites are another favorite of mine. On Wednesday’s I typically order a half pound-pound and I’m always satisfied. I enjoy going out on Wednesday nights for karaoke, the bartenders are awesome, they bust their butts on a busy night and I’ve always had great service even when it’s shoulder to shoulder on the weekend. I started coming here about 7 months ago and instantly felt like I fit in. OTC has a diverse crowd and even when you go alone there’s always someone who will greet you and strike up a conversation with you. OTC is one of my favorite places to go to in NEPA and I’ve made a few new friends while going. Brian, Nanette, Alan, Kal, Martha, and Phyllis always make me feel so welcomed and I never feel like an outsider. I previously always enjoyed my experience at OTC until this past Wednesday. Initially upon going up to the bar to order drinks my boyfriend and I received the rudest customer service I quite possibly have ever encountered in my life. I’ve worked in the industry for about seven years and never once have I ever treated or spoken to a customer the way this bartender was serving us, I believe his name was Cal according to other friends of mine I was joining. Absolutely and utterly rude and acted as though we were inconveniencing him. Literally rolling his eyes as we ordered two very simple drinks. Never have I seen such a rude customer service worker. My boyfriends food came out incorrect as they were supposed to be boneless and he was served regular wings. He didn’t really care but I decided to go let them know at the bar to see if they could remake them (was not a big deal if they couldn’t) and he proceeded to argue with me that “NO, these are what your friend ordered”. Honestly so rude so I closed my tab tipped 10% and left. my boyfriend and I experienced terrible food poisoning (vomiting and stomach pain) for three days after this experience.
