The Relax Inn — Hotel in Plains Township

There are 3 people that are from the same family that work here. Sent me to the same room on 3 separate occasions. I purposely marked the sheet with a pencil ✏️ to see if they are clean. Next time I came and the 3rd time I came I requested the same room and the pencil mark was still in the exact same spot. So they do not change any bedding at all. I took a wash cloth with soap to clean the bottom of the shower before I got in and the was cloth was literally BLACK!! absolutely disgusting! Absolutely everything is out dated to the 60s, the hand you a physical key and want a $20 deposit for the the key itself. Lol. They have a small lobby that is always locked 24/7, you have to go to this tiny nite window to talk to someone. And they half the time don't even know what your saying. This should be a 1 star motel at best. It's a shame, I'm a carpenter and for just a little money would go a long way for a place like this. They charge $60,$70 $50 whatever they feel like charging you that night lol. Makes no sense. Your better off not wasting your time. I think there were 2 cars there and over maybe 60 rooms. The Relax Inn is dirt cheap and near my floor for divey motel. They seem to clean here about as much as I clean my room, and I do a lot more maintenance on my house. There was ketchup (hopefully) on the wall by the bed, and some smudges on the sheets that seem to confirm other reviews that said they don't wash the sheets between guests. But the toilet, shower and fridge work, the bed was comfortable enough, and there were no bedbugs. It's really beautiful on the outside and could be quite a gem if the owners put in an ounce of effort.

The biggest issue for me was actually mostly out of the owners' control: I had trouble sleeping because people were racing on the road in front of the motel in the middle of the night. If the owners wanted to invest in the place, the first thing to do would be to add noise insulation to the front...

I stayed for one night and I can say for the price that it is it’s a nice hotel for being as cheap as it was. Things still do need a little bit updated like the beds and tables both were unstable, and room could’ve been cleaned, A little bit better. There was dust everywhere in the room, but actually smell pretty decent even though they have smoking rooms available. I will say the room still look a little bit drabby, outdated, and horrible lighting but it is not bad for the price. I don’t think I was welcome to much by the neighbors that were living there, don’t believe that is very LGBT friendly but if you want to sleep for a night for a low price this is...
