The hamburger š was very good and was the fries š the peanut butter milkshake was very delicious š and thick just way I like it. Friendly staff. It's not over priced. I went there on Saturday July 9 2022 and have say this time my experience was very bad. First I ordered to different kinds of steak grinders. For my finances I order their normal one for and rib-eye steak on hard roll for me. Plus two milk shakes. First when went wait for my order to be made the staff member who took my order tell they didn't have enough milk to make my and could have something else to drink. I got my money back and be honest it around 3:30 in afternoon they should have know how much milk they had left. Be honest I feel they should accommodated better than they did. When finally received my order for I paid there different was enough steak on my finances grinder it was mostly a grinder roll . Second my rib-eye steak was put on a Portuguese roll and had one thin slice rib eye steak so it was all roll to. Manger came out to talk and said that how they do it. Will make me new one but, it would been same way. So why would I have them make me another one it will be the same so I asked for that money back too which was over $10 second or I should say third the onion rings you could tell was frozen they weren't freshly made like they used to be what a different battery I feel I should have at least two slices of ribeye and my fiance's grinder should have been more filled with steak for the prices going up but we're getting less for our money. And be quite honest there wasn't even that much milk put in my fiance's milkshake it was less than a quarter I've seen them make it so it was very disappointed and it may seem I am not going to be going back there for a while since again she's here with her food they're becoming like a real fast restaurant you're paying an arm and a leg for your food and the quality is not as good I could go down the Saints or somewhere else and have a grinder that was filled with steak so they have lost my business for a while unless they improve or if I hear back from the owner how he would fix the situation. I used to go there when I was in Bristol Connecticut before it moved to Plainville. It's go there more frequently than I do now reason I go there less is because I moved to Wolcott and it's not as close to my home when I lived in Forestville I've been a long-standing customer and I'm disappointed how things were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Frankies earlier this evening with a friend, placed my order for a burger, fried cauliflower and a soda. While I was waiting for my food standing at the counter I noticed there were flies everywhere. This was my second time at Frankies and the first time I went I was disgusted by the Flies in the restaurant that day as well. It annoyed me that they did nothing about their fly problem. This is a sit-down restaurant where you come in and you sit down and you have food and you should not have to fight a swarm of flies in order to enjoy your meal which by the way Frankies isn't that cheap for the quality of food they serve. What I found most discusting about this restaurant was the fact that while I was waiting for my food there was a young woman using a dirty wet towel to wipe down the counters and surfaces when the cook behind the window in the kitchen placed my burger up on the window for the counter help to give to me. What happened next was inaccusable, the woman who had been wiping the counters down with her wet dirty towel then grabbed my burger placed her hand on the top of the entire roll and placed it on a tray and handed it to me. Without washing her hands after using a filthy wet rag she actually placed the whole palm of her hand on the top of my hamburger roll and then put it on a tray and handed it to me. I told her what I saw her do. I also so they have sheets of paper right below the counter such as what they use in Dunkin Donuts to grab a donut so you're not actually touching the food with your hands. I told this woman why don't you use the sheets of paper that are sitting right there on the counter why are you touching my food with your hands ? I asked for another roll she said she was sorry. Between the Flies and the poor habits of the employees and staff here I don't believe I will ever eat at Frankies again. This is a poorly trained staff, that has no clue about cleanliness and food handling. The owners and management leave a lot to be desired. If I recall when Frankies was in Bristol on Route 6 it was a pretty filthy and disgusting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGrowing up I lived right down the road from the original Frankie's. Frankie's relish was a favorite of my dad's and we used to go there every Sunday for hot dogs. I believe that location is still open although I don't live there anymore. Frankie's expanded and a franchise opened near where I currently live. I tried it out and it didn't disappoint. The same flavor I remember as a child. Of course the nostalgic interior of the original restaurant is gone and the old fashioned soda pop bar is a thing of the past, but the hot dogs were delicious and the french fries were just about as perfect as french fries can get. The food was prepared quickly but not so quick that it compromised flavor. I wasn't at all surprised to see that the crowd was mostly middle-aged Plus and seniors. People who remember the original restaurant. I don't think I seen anyone in there under 60 years old which is perfectly...
