Yummy Sushi — Restaurant in Plainville

Yummy Sushi is one of the few amazing sushi places in town. It is definitely my go to place for sushi. I normally get take out and the quality is what you’d expect great sushi to be. They have my order ready within 15-20 min. I have never been disappointed. I normally get the spicy tuna roll and a California tempura roll (not on the menu but they will make it if you ask). This time I decided to be adventurous and get two of the chef’s special rolls and the teriyaki chicken. I have to say I will be adding the fast and furious roll to my normal order. I love that they labeled the rolls so I will remember what was what. The fast and furious roll had avocado, shrimp tempura topped with spicy tuna, spicy mayo sauce, eel sauce, and red tobiko (fish roe). The princess roll had spicy crab, avocado, and seaweed topped with tuna, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Th princess roll was a bit slimy in texture, but still very good. I’ve never had seaweed in sushi before and I absolutely loved the flavor and slightly crunchy texture. First time ordering the teriyaki chicken too. The teriyaki chicken had onions, mushrooms, and zucchini in a delicious not too sweet, not too salty teriyaki sauce. The vegetables were under the chicken (Sorry for no picture. I dined in with a friend and ordered the eel avocado roll and the salmon cucumber roll. My friend enjoyed her dish she ordered but I was not satisfied with the salmon cucumber roll because the salmon felt slimy and I eat sushi often and it has never felt slimy. We asked if I could switch the roll to something different as I couldn't eat it. The host/waitress proceeded to tell us how they'd been serving that all day and no one else complained so they won't switch it, they only switch of there's a problem we tried to explain that there is a problem it feels slimy and I won't eat it she said she won't switch it because I don't like it. No matter how many times we told her fine no problem she continued to stand at our table arguing how it wasn't fair to them to waste food and just wasn't kind, understanding or accommodating at all. She would not walk away until my friend let her know the more she talked the worse our reviews would be. It's disappointing because I love sushi and have waited quite awhile to eat at this particular location and it seems they overall prepare decent sushi but they have zero knowledge on customer service. My wife order food she came in and paid in person.. after leaving getting in her car she realized she left her purse style backpack on counter.. she turned back quickly went inside .. I just left my purse here has anyone seen it?? Nobody knew nothing none of the staff none of the coworkers.. she quickly said I want to speak to the manager.. and just like that no one knew nothing about a purse that was left on counter... So after asking questions that no one could answer nobody knew nothing she called the police the police showed up and the manager told them that the cameras don't work.. they're just for show.. my wife explained that she had very expensive stuff in her purse.. she said I just got out of work and told them where she works and this is the only place she stopped.. nobody knew nothing so the police ask questions and looked around they didn't find anything.. she called me very upset and sad I told her those people took your purse if no one else can just walk out with something if it was on the counter like that.. the next day the purse was turned in to my wife's workplace from one of the co-workers.. from yummysushi They just dropped it off and walked away immediately.. of course my wife canceled all...
