Where do I even start? I walked in with my wife and child, told them to go get a seat, and then attempted to pay. I told the lady 2 adults, 1 child. Then I remembered that my wife had already eaten, and that she would not be participating. The lady at the counter told me that if she wanted to sit in the restaurant she'd have to pay. Then asked me: "Is that okay?" I said, no, why would that be okay?
Now I don't care what policy is in place, I find it disturbing that this company decided to enact such a policy due to youth coming in and buying a single buffet while eating enough for an army on one dime. I get it. But I came in as an adult with my wife, and my child. My daughter was excited, and rushed into the restaurant while I handled payment. Too bad I couldn't pay, because who in their right mind would pay an extra 10-15 bucks for someone that wasn't intending to eat anything? My wife had already eaten. My child is autistic, I have physical limitations, my wife choosing to sit with us so we can eat out for our once in a blue moon getting ruined is the worst sin of all. So I went to a competitor.
Here I am now, filing a complaint. Something I honestly despise doing. I prefer to write 5 star reviews and express my appreciate for the service given.
I encourage this company to re-think it's strategy, and re-train the person at the front desk not to attempt squeezing dollars out of people and then trying to lie and say they didn't say that. So now not only am I wrong for being upset, I'm being called a liar?
Absolutely not. I will not deal with that sort of injustice over something as trivial as taking up an extra seat so we can at least be together as a family. Something, again, we don't often get to do because of the constant chaos of our schedules, as well as my physical limitations.
I feel discriminated against, and wrongfully accused of a number of things. Rest assured I will not be doing business with your company, and I promise to share this experience with as many people as possible.
It truly astounds me how this kind of behavior can be acceptable. Also, I asked to speak to the manager. If the front desk lady was the actual manager, I would genuinely die of shock. She barely spoke English, and the language barrier caused the largest parts of this frustration, stress, and genuine humility to be treated this way and me feel compelled to get pissed off due to it.
I am not sorry for losing my temper. I've been in the service industry, and FOOD SERVICE, the majority of my life and career. Down to running my own restaurant. Again, people make mistakes. But there comes a time when you need to recognize the differences between someone who's greedy, and someone who knows how to talk shit enough to get by. The restaurant didn't look that...
Read moreCame in with my family on Thursday evening about 6:00 there was one pizza to serve a room of 10 plus people. I've gotten a salad to start assuming the rest of the pizzas were on their way. When we noticed no change we asked how long is it going to take to make more pizzas they said well what pizza do you want I said anything more than this one pizza, two of the gentlemen were complaining with the cook saying this is the second customer complaining that there's no pizzas out. Your cook then begin to get an attitude when more customers started coming up asking the same question we were not the only ones waiting for more pizza. We then noticed the cook leaving the back of the kitchen clocked out and left the store. Mind you your front hostess is very young she is still accepting new customers when there is no pizza to serve anybody nothing. A gentleman came out the back and started making a few pizzas we tried to ask for a specialty pizza to make we were told it'll be a while they had to go orders and other pizzas to make as well they said. The to-go orders were done in a timely manner but no one in the store dining for the buffet was served a buffet.. they kept making cheese pizza and pepperoni over and over and over. It's getting ridiculous with the children better there on staff there was a gentleman there I couldn't tell if he was a manager or not because there was no direction given from him to get these kids to work. After reading the reviews I'm seeing that this is a gone on service at the store gives no pizza for the buffet get everyone's paying for a buffet. I'll be taking this matter up to corporate. The place was dirty Windows haven't been wiped down and weeks it says that the place is supposed to be wiped after every customer that definitely didn't happen nor was the buffet cleaned probably all day.
Sad to say this is why me and my family we knew better try to get a quick dinner for our kids but we understand this is why we don't eat at places like...
Read moreI wish I could give this place a negative! My experience at this location was horrifying! Never again, will I ever step foot or spend my money at this Cicis location. On Sunday, April 14, 2023, at about 9:00, our family decided to have pizza here. When we went in, we noticed one other family there. It seemed like a slow night. They had a few pizzas out, and we ordered a fresh one and sat down to eat the stale scraps. Shortly after, we noticed that two of the employees were laughing hysterically and just figured they were having a good time at work, whatever. Shortly after, we hear one of the employees holler "La migra!"....that is like calling out "ICE, " which stands for Immigration Customs Enforcement; and realize they are making fun of us! As if we are afraid of getting deported. However, we are the only Mexicans there. So they continued hollering and laughing about it back and forth, even after they knew that we understood their little joke. This was extremely humiliating and traumatizing! My brother got up to ask them to stop making fun of us, and the guys completely denied "saying" anything and CONTINUED LAUGHING!!! At this point, im thinking, let's get out of here, but my brother was like no. We paid for service and we are going to have our meal. Then we realize that we haven't even gotten our fresh pizza and request our pizza, and the guy tells my brother HE IS NOT MAKING ANY PIZZA. WE GET WHAT'S THERE!!! Which was old, stale, chewy slices of pizza! The situation was so upsetting that we called the cops because we were legitimately getting harassed and scammed our money! The cops came, and they advised that we contact corporate to report this abuse because it's NOT OKAY! I hate that my family and I had to experience discrimination and intimidation at a "family" place. It's the worst feeling ever!!! I have a video of the incident and would like to file a class action because we know we can't be the ONLY ones that have experienced discrimination...
